Genesis was born in America her home town being Los Angeles California. She doesn't remember that though because she was only there for the first year of her life. Her dad received an offer from a large tech company to  move to Tokyo and work for them. He accepted and their little family of three made their move cross country. As she grew she would always have an affinity for technology. She was more of a quiet girl for a while but that's not to say that she wasn't very outgoing and ambitious. When it came to schooling she was a math genius and English was also  fairly easy for her. Any other subject and she was pretty average. When it came to things like computers it would become apparent very quickly later that she had more than a base level of understanding as to how systems work. Sadly though she wouldn't have a normal family life for long. at the age of 6 Genesis became an orphaned girl that grew up on the streets of Tokyo, She remembers her parents died in a house fire when she wasn't home. She has no immediate family and she bounced from friend to friends place to sleep but spent most time on the street when she wasn't in school.  This would lead to her developing a very cold exterior to protect her now very deeply burried innocent scared child that never got to just be a child. 

She picked up a lot of I.T certifications online starting in Secondary school. Having no family and other kids not getting along with her she always differed and was an outcast. She was often noticed by Kisaki but never went anyone near him since she wound up shutting out a lot of people not wanting anything to do with them. She bounced from all districts and eventually her talent with computers became known by a lot of people and she found her place again for a little bit at least.  Gangs eventually started to ask her to find out things, information on any and everything, she just did it on the side it wasn't her main focus and she helped out everyome she thought it couldn't hurt. She wasn't one that would really get into fights but she has had her fair share to tussles. Though she was always bruised the other was always left off much worse than her. It was things like this that would lead her to find a sparring partner in Hanma Shuji. Though she would never go anywhere near Kisaki because she disliked him with a burning passion she didnt mind Hanma all that much even if he was kind of like a dog that followed Kisaki for excitement. Eventually it could be obvious to others that the normally cold Genesis had taken a liking to Hanma though she was very oblivious to this kind of thing.

Once she was older she got into a lot of security shenanigan's working for many different companies when she turned 18 her skills being very helpful however no troubled orphan stays good long. It didn't take her long to turn to the dark side of hacking working for vigilantes, gangs, cartels, mafia's the list goes on. Soon she built up her own information network that eventually spilled over into Korea as well. She became a very powerful individual and soon started to hid behind her screen  she didnt go out and those that knew her or well used to know her would have a harder time finding her. She quite literally sees everything and can handle anything. She did end up making a few friends as an adult and these three would end up becoming the ones that would do all her dirty work
