Y/n's pov
I picked the miniature lantern from the stack of books on my huge golden brown wooden table. I smiled at the small object observing the small decoration. Mother would've loved these. I heard the door to my studies open making me look towards that direction. It was Caitlyn she was dress in her enforcer uniform.
"Thought you were on patrol", I questioned. "I was just heading there", she replied walking over and taking her place next to me. "Wanted to visit you since it's on the way", she added. "Hm glad you did I was just heading out", I said placing the lantern back down onto the books.
"So early? You usually always arrive late", she stated. "My schedule was cleared for the day so why not and besides I wanted to show your best friend some support", I explained. "He's been showering in that lately", she chuckled. "He is seen as the golden boy of Piltover now", I stated as we headed for the door. "I just hope the other enforcers are on extra guard today", Caitlyn admitted. "Of course they won't be", I chuckled as was walked over to the exit and began walking down the hallway.
"No matter how many times or how damaging the attack is on Piltover most of the enforcers will just remain lazy", I explained. "And what you propose we should do", Caitlyn questioned. "I don't know maybe we should take away their paychecks every month if they act lazy", I smiled. "How can you say something so mean yet with a kind smile", Caitlyn questioned. "It's my specialty", I giggled. "...If you have any ideas let me know and I'll discuss it with the other councilors", I said. "Of course", Caitlyn replied pushing the doors open for us.
The sunlight immediately greeted me. Its bright rays making the my yellow outfit shine bright almost as if it was shining just as bright. Nearby Piltover citizens witness my entrance and began cheering for me. I walked down the steps alongside Caitlyn as we head to the Process Day Festival. I greeted the people as we did. Caitlyn of course stayed with me to make sure I was safe.
"Caitlyn I'll be okay", I whispered. "My post isn't far away", Caitlyn commented. "I will call you if something happens", I smiled. "Okay enjoy the day", she smiled then walked doff to her post.
"MS. Y/N MS Y/N", some called causing me to look to my right. A group fo kids rushed up to me. "You have to see this", one of them exclaimed. All of them were beaming with excitement. I held my hands out towards them they had a look of confusion on their faces when I did.
"Lead the way", I said. They're smiles returned as soon as I said that. Two of them grabbed my hand and began learning me to whatever they was trying to show me. They led me towards a small stable with a nearby scientist. In the stable was golden mechanical unicorn. The golden metal with silver lining made its strong muscles stand out as if it was the real thing. Its pure white eyes staring at the crowd of people surrounding the metal fence. The thing that made it stand out more was the white horn on the top center of it's head. It let out a huge fog of steam out from it's nose.
"THIS IS MY CREATION THE MYTHICAL HORSE OF THE GOLDEN CITY", the inventor announced causing the crowd to cheer. The unicorn pranced around the stable as if it had a mind of its own. Of course it was just the inventor controlling its controls. I guess the inventor spotted me, because the unicorn began approaching me. It got close to my face, really close. I looked dover noticing the inventor trying to hide his mistake and worry about my reaction. I lift my hand ups gripping the horses' face. I rubbed my fingers all over it's face feeling the hot metal. The horse blew out some fog causing me to jump back and giggle.
"Such a beauty", I commented then looked over at the inventor. "You've made a magnificent creator professor", I smiled. "T-THANK YOU", he quickly replied. I stepped back to let the others be able to greet the mechanical unicorn and walked away to view other inventions.
No invention I saw was terrible. All of them were creative and unique. And the people of the city were the adding touch to how amazing Piltover is. Even with how rotten majority of the power ups are the city will always remain beautiful to me.
"COUNCILOR Y/N", some called causing me tot urn around. It was a man with a huge top hat on his bald head. He had beige skin, a huge white mustache and a specie on his left eye. He held his finger out towards me, perched on it was a mechanical butterfly.
"I dedicated this invention to you, to thank you for what you've done", he smiled kindly. The mechanical butterfly flew off his finger and towards me. I lift my hand to give a place for the butterfly to land. Even with the many gears and metals the butterfly landed on top my pointer finger gracefully. I lift it slowly to my face to observe it.
"Of course Ivan let your mother know I saw hello", I smiled up at him. "Of course madam", he smiled back. I looked down at the butterfly as I held my hand out. The butterfly took off and began flying its way back to Ivan. I nodded my head at him then turned and left to go back home.
