Special occasions are no less in bringing duties and delight in comparison to festivals. Those kinds of occasion cheers love and creates an opportunity to heal cracked hearts during a certain journey of life.

Harvesting festival was going on in Hastinapur. Farmers were dancing in joy as their year long efforts had been paid off. Glow of grains appeared as great happiness of their lives. Subjects were also equally happy. They were celebrating the occasion praying for wellbeing of their family members.

Veneration had been organised. God was offered grains by people in order to please him for positivity and prosperity.

A beautifully adorned hand with bangles, rings and altah was placing earthen pots filled with different kinds of grains in front of idol of God.

The owner of the hand was none other than Karenumati, wife of prince Nakul, the newly wedded daughter in law of Hastinapur. No enthusiasm was seen on her face as the absence of her dear sister was hurting her more than usual.

She and her sister Parijat were going to get married on the same day. They would have entered into new lives together. They would have shared those moments of happiness together. Parijat would have been with Karenumati, assisting her in the ritual she was doing alone if destiny hadn't surprised everyone with Parijat's disappearance.

When Karenumati was lost in her thoughts she felt a hand on her shoulder.

"These pots full of grains in front of God symbolise offering for wellbeing of our whole family," the person standing beside Karenumati was Devika who had a small smile on her face in respect of the occasion going on.

Karenumati was confused thinking why Devika was saying the fact which she knew beforehand.

"You have forgot someone, Renu. You haven't placed pot full of grains in his name," Devika provided the reply to Karenumati's questioning gaze.

"I haven't forgot him. Even, I can't forget him," then, Karenumati realised what Devika was referring.

"Your grudge against Prithak is right at its place yet I believe that you can't hate him too much to put him into any danger," even though Karenumati used to interact the least with everyone yet Devika had understood her nature inside and out.

"You are right. My sister had taught me not to do excess of anything which would take me away from territory of righteousness. I hate him, but within a limit," mention of her sister made Karenumati smile and sad at the same time.

"I have filled this pot in his name. I request you to place it in front of God, and to pray for him as I can't do this," handing a pot to Devika, Karenumati walked out.

Devika stood still at her place staring at fading figure of Karenumati. Yudhishthir who had noticed the scenario from far entered into with a face mirrored Devika's expression.

"Till when this coldness will continue in our family, Arya?" Devika's face went blank, in attempt of finding the answer.

"I have faith in Prithak. Once, he assured me that things would get settled down soon. All we can do is wait till that time" Yudhishthir collected confidence in his words remembering his last interaction with Prithak.

Both looked at each other, gathering hope from each others eyes.
