A week went by and he was so stressed about it. Seven days in his universe meant seven weeks for Louis. Almost two months!
He had finished the five paintings that he owed his gallery. They were all of Louis. He painted five more to be prepared while he waited for that dream that would open the gateway to Louis' universe. It didn't come. Instead he dreamt about stupid stuff like kittens and shopping at the mall.
He had a plan. The time twist between their worlds meant that he could stay for months with Louis and it would only be weeks here. If Louis wanted him to stay of course. He didn't want to bother him.
He missed him like crazy. Another week went by. That meant that it had been three and a half months since he left Louis' apartment. He was panicking by now. They had just started whatever was between them. What if Louis lost interest and when he returned he had gotten himself a boyfriend? Awful thought.
He made preparations. He opened an account and transferred money to cover his bills for a couple of weeks. He also withdrew a big chunk of money that he would put in his pockets and hopefully they would still be there when he showed up at Louis'. He wasn't filthy rich or anything but he had made a fair share of money on his paintings and most of it was on his saving account.
A third week passed. That meant five months for Louis. Maybe he should just let him be? No, he couldn't do that. He wanted to see him again.
He had painted a lot and delivered ten paintings to the gallery and they were pleasantly surprised. He informed them that he was going on a vacation for a couple of weeks and couldn't be reached.
He woke up on Sunday morning with a dream of Louis fresh in his mind. He hurried to get out of bed and ran around aimlessly at first but then he collected himself. He took a quick shower, got dressed, and called his mother to let her know that he would go on vacation for a couple of weeks and lied and said that there would be no reception. Then he called Gemma and Niall and told them the same.
After that, he cleared the fridge and took the trash out before he sat down to paint a sleeping Louis from his dream. When he was done he ran to get the suitcase that he had packed weeks ago and shoved a roll of money in his front pocket. He held the suitcase tightly and reached out a hand to touch the painting. Last second he realized that it would be the first week of January in Louis' world and he ran to the hallway to find his winter clothes and shoes and put them on. He returned to the painting and his heart was beating fast. He grabbed the suitcase again and touched the painting, anxious that it wouldn't work. He let out a breath of relief when the room started spinning and he was sucked into the painting.
Just as in his painting Louis was asleep. He has touched his arm on the painting and when he opened his eyes he was next to Louis, touching his arm at the same spot. Louis' eyes flew open and he screamed and rolled away from him, and fell to the floor with a loud thud.
"Louis? I'm sorry. It's me, Harry. I didn't mean to scare you."Louis looked up over the edge of the bed.
"Harry?" He asked disoriented."Yeah." Harry confirmed. He was holding his suitcase and was glad that had worked.
"Oh my God! Where have you been? I've been waiting for months. Wait, why are you in a winter coat?" Louis said and crawled up on the bed. He threw himself in Harry's arms and hugged him tightly.
"Because it's winter here." Harry laughed and held him close.
"What happened?" Louis asked and let go of him. He turned on the bedside lamp.
"It turned out that I had only been gone for three days. One day in my universe is one week here." Harry explained.
"Really? That's a problem." Louis said.
"Yeah. I'm sorry. It took three weeks before I had a dream about you, but that's five months here." Harry pouted.
"That sucks, but you're here now. How long can you stay?" Louis smiled.
"Well, that's up to you. I can stay three weeks if you want to, because that's when I'll have my next dream I think." Harry answered.
"Or?" Louis questioned.
"Or I can stay like seven months." Harry chuckled.
"I'll take option number two." Louis grinned.
"Well, you can always change your mind. I can go home after six weeks or nine weeks and so on. I won't be offended if you get tired of me." Harry said.
"Don't be silly." Louis smiled. He got up from bed all of a sudden. "I'm gonna brush my teeth so I can kiss you." He hurried off to the bathroom and Harry removed his winter clothes in the meantime and put his suitcase down.
Louis returned. He stopped in the doorway for a second with a shy smile on display before he hurried over to the bed and laid down.
"Hi.""Hi." Harry smiled.
Louis giggled.
"I feel a little shy all of a sudden. It has been so long since I last saw you.""Again, I'm really so..." Louis shut him up with a kiss.
Harry rolled to his back and took Louis with him so he was lying half on top of him. It got heated quickly. Louis rolled his hips but broke the kiss and looked down.
"Did you grow a second dick since the last time I saw you?"Harry burst out in a fit of giggles.
"No, I brought cash this time."He reached inside his pocket and took out the roll of money and tossed it on the nightstand. Louis let out a wolf whistle.
"Wait, since that money isn't made here does that count as counterfeit?""Probably." Harry chuckled and captured his lips.
They got rid of their clothes. Thirty minutes later they were on their back, trying to catch their breaths.
"Welcome back." Louis smiled."Thanks. I've missed you." Harry said softly.
"Well, I've missed you more." Louis pouted. Harry couldn't argue against that.
