Clarisse stood looking out the balcony window as the sun shone over the horizon. It was her morning ritual, cup of tea in hand, watching the sky come alive. She had been enjoying this view for the last three years since Amelia had assumed the throne. Although, if she were honest with herself, she would say it had taken some time to get used to. While taking a sip of her tea she noticed a warm tingling feeling come over her and it wasn't because of the tea. She turned her head slightly to the left and said, "You know it is not polite to stare Joseph." Moving closer to her he leaned in to kiss her cheek." I couldn't resist such a beautiful view my love, forgive me? " She turned toward him as he wrapped his arms to rest around her lower back. "I don't blame you this view is stunning." she stated while looking into his brown eyes. "I wasn't talking about the view of the horizon." he said cheekily. She smiled at him and said "Thank you darling. I appreciate your admiration. It has taken some time for me to accept these kinds of compliments what with how rocky my relationship with Rupert was. But you make it so easy to feel loved and supported." Joseph took a step back and looked her in her beautiful blue eyes. He studied her for a moment then he took her hand and lead her to the sofa in the living room. "You are welcome mi amor. You are my number one priority and I take the title as your husband very seriously. Just as when I was your head of security."" But that was your job." she said. Exactly he stated with a grin." I loved my job then and I love my job even more now." she placed her hand on his check as he turned his neck to kiss it. " So, what is on the schedule today?" Clarisse clapped her hands together" well I was thinking I would visit Amelia before she gets too busy with work. Then you and I could have a walk around the garden and have lunch in the gazebo. she paused to look at him. "That does sound nice!" Joseph said." Is there anything else you would like to do today?" Clarisse smiled and shifted to sit on her leg. "Actually, dear Joseph, I was thinking that you could plan the rest of the day out." He raised an eyebrow at this suggestion. "Is everything alright my love? Are you sick?", he asked while reaching to touch her forehead. She laughed at him. "I am quite well.", she reached out for his hand and held it in hers. "Joseph I ... I think that I am ready to let go and be free of my title's chains. Can you teach me?" As he looked into her eyes, he realized that they had enter in a new chapter in their marriage. He smiled and moved closer to her and whispered, "I thought you'd never ask.",They laughed and got up to start their day, after all it was going to be beautiful.
