[This is a college au. Dean and Cas take a break from the stressful world of college. Except they're boyfriends. This one shot is kinda based on my college experience. This one will be a little shorter. Enjoy!!!]

The college life for young adults were consistently filled with over packed schedules and not enough sleep. There was never enough time to get everything done in a single day. It was stressful. Some days consisted of tears and sweat going into all of the work. Other days it was more relaxed, but that was rare. Students were always studying for some exam or paper. Sometimes college students need to step back from their work and take a break. Even if the break was only for ten minutes. It was what college students needed on a stressful day.

Castiel Novak, a chemistry major student attending UCLA was having a stressful day. It was one of those days where every little thing irritated him. He sat at his desk in his dorm room. He was working on an important paper for his general class. It was philosophy, his least favorite subject. The student was a 4.0 student and never missed a class. He wanted to become a crime scene investigator for his local police department. He wanted to help people in any way he could. Even if that meant going to the police academy for six months.

"Cas! You've been studying all day!" Dean Winchester, a criminology major student, chimed in. He was laying on his bed against his side. The student was Cas's roommate and boyfriend. He had finished all of his homework for the day and noticed his boyfriend was struggling. The wrinkles in Cas's eyes and the stressed look within his eyes. Dean couldn't be more in love with the man who was following his dreams. The student grew impatient. He wanted his boyfriend to treat himself, give himself a little bit of a mental break.

"No breaks," Cas replied stubbornly. 'What does he want now? Can't he see I'm studying!' He chewed at the end of his pen as he searched through his notes. Dean wasn't surprised by this, he was an average student and didn't really work as hard as Cas did. He had know his parter since the beginning of college. They were sophomores now and rooming together. Cas had always been the type to work too much. It wasn't healthy for his mental health. He would continue to nag until Cas gives in. That was in the Winchester's blood. Never giving up.

Dean groaned, "why did I think it was a smart idea to dorm with a workaholic?" He sat up in his bed. He scratched the back of his head. A light bulb went off in his head. 'He deserves a break. We've been working so hard. I know! I'll treat him. Dinner and maybe watch the sunset?' He jumped down and stormed towards his boyfriend.

"Dean, this is important." Cas complained with a frown. He tapped his pen against his cheek while he was deep in thought. He pulled on the ends of the hoodie he stole from Dean. It was way too big on him but comfortable. His boyfriend closed his laptop. "Come on, we're going for a drive."

Cas couldn't protest. It was pretty much impossible to with Dean. 'God, he's impossible. He won't give up. I have to go. He won't let me study if I don't give in.' Cas was stubborn, but nothing could top Dean. Arguing with him was like a cycle that never ended. He preferred to stay on his boyfriend's good side. With a heavy sigh, Cas finally gave in. "Fine."

The students quickly went to pack their backpacks. They both realized it was a lot easier to store items this way and pack extra snacks instead of shoving everything into their pockets. Cas placed in a few extra treats he hadn't eaten, his dorm key, and his wallet just in case the two went out to eat. 'There's no way I'm having Dean pay again!' Cas was determined to get his way tonight.

Dean packed up a little surprise gift for his boyfriend, his dorm key, and wallet. He would insist on paying for dinner. Knowing his boyfriend, the two would argue over the bill. 'I'll pay again. I'll spoil this man. He deserves it after a long day.' Dean zipped up his backpack.
