My hand slipped from onjos and i was forced to turn towards gwi nam he pulled me towards him and kicked the monster that had came too close something grabbed at my ankle and screamed i kickedin hopes that i would shake it off gwi nam let me go and stomped on the monster quickly pulling me away
"Under there" he shouted
I look towards where he pointed and shook my head
"I need to find onjo" i stated while attempting to pull my hand from his .
I look around and saw onjo climbing out of the window
"This way"
i started towards the window when a monster ran towards us and knocked gwi nam on the floor i grabbed a tray and slammed it against the monsters head while gwi nam stabbed it in the neck he pushed the zombie off of him and quickly got up, grabbed my hand and we both slid under the cafeteria gate we quickly ran to a metal counter and crawled underneath two others followed our lead gwi nam quickly grabbed the boy by his shirt collar to push him out .
I grabbed his arm and shook my head , he pulled me as close to him as possible and held my head against his chest i let out a sob and quickly covered my mouth afraid that the things out there would hear me
We all sat there for forever it feels like, cringing everytime we heard a growl i held onto gwi-nams shirt and let out a shaky breath
"Im scared" i mumbled quietly
"Me too" he kissed my head and let out a loud sigh
The girl under the shelter with us started to cry i looked up and quickly shook my head no begging her to be quiet the gate rattled and gwi nam leaned over covering her mouth with his hand he looked at me and quickly looked back at the girl kicking her from under.
I covered my mouth in shock as she screamed and tried to crawl away two of those things ran from behind i grimaced when i heard her scream i looked at gwi nam . iwas so confused on how to feel, sure we were all scared but he went too far he tried to grab my hand and i quickly pulledit back
He looked at the boy and pointed hishead towards the knives
"Go get it" he mouthed
The boy quickly shook his head no too scared to take the risk gwi nam grabbed the boy his hair and threw him from under the shelter the boy grabbed gwi nams leg which caused him to slip from under the shelter
i let out a yelp and attempted to pull him back in he placed a finger on his mouth motioning for me to be quiet i nodded and he crawled away, as fast as he had gone he crawled back under and over to the other side grabbing my hand and pulling me with him he used a metal bench to block them from coming out
another zombie appeared beside us and we both backed up he pushed me behind him and, before we could make a move we heard someone whisper something beside us gwi nam bent down and grabbed the ladys hand throwing her infront of us
He ran with me following closely behind him he picked a knife up and started to slice at the things running towards us i ran and ducked under the shelter upon his request i pulled my knees upto my chest and cried i let out a yelp when my arm was grabbed realizing it was gwi nam i quickly got up and we both ran as fast as we could out of the cafe
After running for a minute we stopped behind a wall momentarily catching our breaths and trying to find an escape plan gwi nam peeked from the wall and sighed. He turned to me and placed his hands on my shoulders
"Theres a bike i want you to get on it and pedal ill be right behind you"
I shook my head no and grabbed his arms
"We can just run please i dont want you to leave me"
He kissed me and peeked back over coming up with an escape plan he grabbed my hand and dragged me behind him. as we ran the growls got louder and closer as more of the things heard us running there were too many zombies infront of us so we ran inside the school trying the doors to see if they were open we quickly ran into a room and 3 of the monsters came running towards us i was pushed against the door while gwi nam took care of them
He began to slam the and stab them to make sure they wouldn't get back up after he was sure we were safe he dropped the knife and ran towards me engulfing me in a hug , i let out a sob and pushed him away.
"Did you have to kill them" i asked
He looked at me and sighed
"Theyre zombies" he stated
I looked him in the eyes and shook my head
"Not them gwi-nam the other kids under the table you threw them out you didnt even give them a chance"
"A chance for what camryn !?! a chance to get us killed i did it to protect you i need to keep you safe you understand that right???"
"You didnt have to kill them we could have come up with a plan to work together to get out of there"
He swiped the books from the table and held his head in his hands he looked at me and walked towards me he grabbed my face in his hands
"You can feel how you want to feel about everything but im not going to apologize for saving your life"
He pulled me closer to him and guided us towards the couch we both layed down in silence both of us too scared to say anything
"i'm sorry" he whispered "youre the only thing i care about in this world i dont know what i would do if i lost you i love you so much"
"i love you too"
no one talked for a few minutes
"gwi nam? do you think onjo and cheongsan are okay"
he rubbed my back
"i dont want to give you false hope but im sure theyre fine, up in one of these classrooms thinking about you"
"i hope so" i whispered
"try to sleep camryn we need to find a way out of here tomorrow"
