Being in love with each other was one of the most fulfilling things in Hanazuki and Maroshi's lives.

It wasn't that their other friends were unimportant. Kiazuki and Kiyoshi were great! The best friends two moonflowers could ever ask for! It was just that well, they could kind of be downers at times. Not that that was a bad thing! Those two had been through a lot, and it made sense that they were a bit soured to life. Hanazuki and Maroshi understood that fact, and while they couldn't quite understand their friends, they accepted them, and gave them space to express their own views rather than change them.

But that didn't change the fact that it was nice to be in a relationship with each other, since they were both utterly in love with the world as they were with each other.

Although Hanazuki had very much not been a fan of extreme sports when she'd first rather violently been introduced to them by the destruction of Maroshi's moon (and she still kind of shied away from that kind of excitement) she had to admit that under better, less stressful circumstances, Maroshi's skyboard was incredibly fun. Not only was it faster and more convient than a spacesurfer, but it also had the added benefit where she got to be right next to Maroshi. Despite the fact that he'd been living on her moon for quite some time, he still retained a salty ocean scent which Hanazuki adored more than everything. They'd fly across space, just admiring how amazing everything was.

Maroshi himself was amazing, too. Maroshi never pulled away or got all embarrassed when Hanazuki hugged him; in fact, he'd sometimes favor her with his own, completely unprompted hugs that made her glow pink. He had a super-cool relaxed manner to him that was frustrating at times, was invaluable at others, especially when she ended up biting off more than she could chew. Maroshi could always get her to calm down and set her priorities straight. He randomly spouted philosophical statements which, although they sometimes didn't make much sense to her, got her thinking about all sorts of cool things about the nature her existence.

The experience of dating Hanazuki had been an amazing thrill ridr for Maroshi as well. Although he considered himself a person who was able to appreciate things, somehow, Hanazuki was able to open his eyes to a whole world that he just hadn't been seeing. Maroshi had always been a "big picture" kind of person, but Hanazuki loved things down to the smallest detail. Even his own emotions, an area that Maroshi had been vaguely aware of but never really paid attention to, had been revealed in part thanks to her (credit where credit was due went to Kiyoshi, of course)

And speaking of emotions, a whole slew of them came with being in love. Feelings of utter euphoria and complete anxiety, feelings of deep sadness and firey rage, came and went, sometimes multiple at once. It was overwhelming, and Maroshi loved every second of it. And hated every second of it. And everything in between.

All in all, Hanazuki and Maroshi's relationship was the most exciting adventure either of them had ever been on.

After all, love is the biggest adventure of all.
