As a 'Lady', Ruby was brought up to be poised and elegant, however the weight of expectation and responsibility caused her to be rebellious and start multiple fights. This led to a short temper and a sassy, cocky attitude just oozing with self-confidence.
As she matures, her attitude mellows out, and she relaxes more, becoming more of the kind of person that breaks up fights, rather than start them.

Home Life
Ruby's home life is...complicated. Her adoptive mother and father are the First Lord and Lady of Mercuria, a kingdom-style area. Ruby and her adoptive mother do not get along, however her adoptive father raises her to be kind and good deep down underneath everything else.
Friendship with Aph
They met in high school, where Ruby would stick up for Aphmau when Gene would call her Kitty in the halls. When Ruby first trusted Aphmau enough to tell her that she was a Lady, Aphmau's reaction was 'Woah! So you're like, a real life princess?!' with a look of wonder in her eyes. Ruby couldn't help but see Aph as a little sister figure after that point.

- She relates to Aaron a lot. The two don't exactly 'talk' much, but they have a mutual respect for each other. They try not to get in each other's way.
