“Dean I really don’t think this is a good idea.” Castiel shifted uncomfortably in his seat. Dean had taken him to a bar.

“Aw come on Cas, you gotta loosen up. Relax a little.”

“The worlds falling apart Dean! I can’t relax!”

Dean handed Cas the glass of beer he had ordered for him. He also discreetly told the bartender to throw in a shot of the strong stuff. Dean was desperate to get the guy to take a load off. Cas took a swig of the beer, and his face twisted.

“This tastes funny.” Dean shrugged.

“Must be the brand.” Cas sighed, and took another drink.

“I LOVE THIS SONG DEAN!” Cas shouted over the pumping music. The song Cas was referring to was 1985 by Bowling For Soup. Dean had not be able to stop laughing at Cas for the last five minutes. Cas was absolutely hammered. Dean mentally noted to be careful next time when he asks for the “strong stuff”. Cas was out on the dance floor, dancing rather horribly, but too drunk to notice. Dean sighed, smiled, and pulled Cas away from the floor and out to the Impala.

“Dean Deandeandean I had so much fun! Can...can we do this every night?”

“Sure Cas whatever you want.” Replied Dean, trying to get the tipsy Cas into the passenger side of him car.

“Dean!” Cas grabbed Dean’s arm and looked wide eyed at the hunter.

“Has anyone ever told you that your soul is beautiful?” Dean was desperately trying not to bust out laughing.

“I’m serious Dean. When I first raised you from perdition, the first time I made contact with you, I saw your soul. It was so bright, so vibrant. It was the most beautiful soul I’d ever seen in all my centuries.” This caused Dean to pause.

“Cas, you’re drunk. You don’t know what you’re saying.” Cas gripped Dean’s arm tighter.

“I am be...slightly intoxicated...but the alcohol has not changed my feelings for you, just loosened my tongue. Normally I would never of admitted by feelings for you, in fear of rejection. And...I think...You feel the same way.” Dean felt his cheeks flush with warmth. Dean had always pushed down his feelings for Cas, forcing himself to just not feel them.

“H-How did you know?” Cas laughed.

“I’m an angel silly! I can pick up on a few things!” Dean smiled.

“Yeah I guess so.” Dean drove back to the bunker. Pulling a still very drunk Cas out of the car and through the door.

“Have a good time you two?” Sam emerged from around a corner. Dean silently cursed. He had hoped that Sam had gone to bed.

“Oh Sam we had the best time! Didn’t we Dean?”

“Oh yeah Cas we sure did.” He’s hammered! Dean mouthed to Sam. Dean could tell Sam was trying to hold back a laugh.

“Sam, Sam I don’t want you to think you don’t have a beautiful soul, its just-”

“Okay Cas I think its time for bed, or whatever you angels do at night.” Cas wriggled out of Dean’s grasp, went up to Sam and hugged him. Sam’s face was one of confusion and discomfort.

“Umm Cas, what's...what's going on?”

“I just don’t want you to feel alone now that me and Dean are together.” Sam’s eyes went wide as he stared at Dean.

“I knew it.” Was all Sam said.

“What?! You knew about this?” Sam laughed.

“Dude, I’ve seen the way you look at each other. It would take an idiot to not see it. I’m just glad one of you admitted it.” Cas, who had still been hugging Sam this whole time, finally let go and went back to Dean.

“Okay Cas, lets go.”

“Mmkay Dean.” Cas was starting to get a little sleepy. Dean wondered if angels slept when they got drunk. It looked like it, as Cas was now almost completely leaning on Dean. Dean smiled and led Cas to one of the many bedrooms that the bunker contained. Cas flopped down on the bed and gave a sleepy laugh. Dean was about to leave when he heard Cas protest.

“Dean. Stay with me.” Dean smiled.

“Alright.” Dean laid down next to his angel, and started stroking his hair.

“Just go to sleep Cas.” Cas responded by pulling Dean close, snuggling up close to his body. Dean’s body tensed for a minute, then relaxed when he heard Cas snoring softly. Cas looked absolutely adorable asleep. Dean placed a soft kiss on the angel's forehead.

“Goodnight Cas.”
