Twelve years since the Battle of Endor, and the Fall of the Galactic Empire, the Death of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. The Galaxy finds itself under a new threat, known to most as the Disciples of Ragnos. A group of cultists and remnants of the empire hold the belief that the Ancient sith Lord Marka Ragnos can be resurrected with enough force energy.

The late leader of the cult Desann, a fallen Jedi and user of the Dark side, has been defeated by once-famous Jedi Knight Kyle Katarn with some help from Grand Master Luke Skywalker. Desann's apprentice Tavion, once spared by Katarn, has now taken over the leadership of the Cult and has acquired a new target, one of the Massassi Temples on the surface of Yavin 4, only a short distance from the new Jedi Temple and from Dantoine.

The Fate of the Galaxy, and its inhabitants, rest with one man currently searching the ruins of an imperial outpost on the surface of the farm planet, along with a rebel cell known as the Talons. Can Jaden Korr, discover his destiny and bring peace once again? Or will the remnants of the Galactic Empire accomplish their goal before time runs out?

Chapter I

Awakened

Jaden Korr was raised on the planet of Minum in a small human colony that was set aside by the dominant species on the planet for outsiders. He was born to a father and mother who, when he was only six perished when a group of greedy imperials razed his small village to the ground. As he grew older his hatred towards the Empire grew and grew and grew throughout his young life, at the age of eighteen he joined a small rebel cell that would plan guerrilla-style attacks on different groups of the leftover empire. One of the others that were a part of this cell was a young Twi'lek female, her name was Jai'ir Shandow and as he stuck with the cell more and more, Jai'ir and Jaden became very close, not lovers, but very nearly that, they would flirt, joke and tease each other constantly. So much so the others in their group began placing bets with one another on when the two would finally agree to be together, she had been a part of Jaden's life for many years and he wouldn't have it any other way.

The other members of the cell consisted of a Rodian by the name of Gurlan Taak, a human by the name of Dax Jester, and a Zabrak male by the name of Sou, and each of them had their roles, Gurlan, was the thief, Dax was the scoundrel and Sou was a warrior whose focus was melee weapons. Together they called themselves The Talons and they had quite the bounty on them if caught together. The cell always found themselves fighting off one bounty hunter or another hell bent on capturing the lot of them.

Growing up on the streets of numerous planetary systems running from either the empire or the bounty hunters, he heard tales of Jedi Knights and how they used to protect the galaxy, he never dreamed that one day he would actually meet one. Until he met Jedi Master Jun Ur a Kel Dorian Jedi master with a strong talent in saber combat. Jun Ur joined the small cell of rebels and led them on several missions that ended in victory. However, one day as they were attacking a small galactic outpost on Dantoine built over the ruins of some ancient structure, Master Jun Ur fell to a sneak attack from a dark Jedi that had been there in hiding for many, many years. With the help of his cell, Jaden managed to defeat the dark Jedi simply due to his old age and not being as quick as he once was. Once the fight was over Jaden went to the fallen Jedi master and as his last act, Jun Ur entrusted Jaden with his lightsaber saying only that the force was just stirring in young Jaden and it had a vast future planned for him, and as his final request, Jun Ur told Jaden to head to Yavin 4 where Grand Master Luke Skywalker would be able to train him in the ways of the force.
