Smoke filled the air around the small group of companions as they ducked and dodged the blaster bolts that were fired at them. They were outgunned two to one as eight storm troopers let loose at the small crew. Most of the blasts, to the good fortune of Jai'ir, Dax and Nylice went wide and missed their target, providing ample opportunity for the three of them to score a hit on their foes.
Jai'ir peaked around the side of one of them, now charred and smoldering supply crates. These crates had been the difference between life and death for the three companions for the last fifteen minutes or so. They were low on clips and their bodies were tired, opposite of them however the stormtroopers were fresh recruits and had barely spent enough energy to warrant a rest. She knew that she had almost reached the maximum amount of energy she was used to in a firefight, and it was starting to worry her.
"Dax, were pinned down, any ideas?" She called to him over the discharge of blasters. He dodged a bolt aimed for his head with barely enough time to move his head.
"I've got one more grenade and about two clips of ammo left. It doesn't look good." He said, reloading another clip into the modified, mid-range rifle that he was using at the moment.
"Nylice, what about you?" Jai'ir called over to the Mandalorian hunched down on the other side of Dax.
"I'm low on normal rounds, I've got full sniper clips at the ready though, if you two can hold their attention I might be able to set up a position just over there." He said pointing to a nearby tall monument of rock.
"But I'd only be able to hold up for one maybe two shots," Nylice said looking over to her for her response.
A plan was beginning to form in her mind, she looked down at the ground nearby, organizing her thoughts into a cohesive plan. Then it came to her, her stare moved from the ground in front of her to the model of blaster she was using, an E-15, mid-range pistol, equipped with extended round storage and proximity detonation systems. She looked over to Dax's weapon he had the same. There it was, the plan they needed so desperately to execute in order to survive this fight. Her eyes darted over to Nylice, she noticed he still had two blaster pistols holstered on his thighs. She beckoned for the two of them to close in around her.
"I've got a plan, it's not much but it'll be sure to put at very least a dent in their side," Jai'ir explained over the discharge of weapons which she quickly realized had stopped, she dropped her voice.
"Dax, you and I have guns that can be primed to explode if needed, along with your grenade and Nylice's accuracy we just might have a chance to majorly cripple or even if we are lucky eliminate our guests permanently. We need to secure both of the blasters to the grenade, prime them all to explode when shot at by one of Nylice's sniper rounds. The key is getting the contraption to land or pass through the single point where some if not all of the troopers will be caught in the radius." She explained and recognition slowly found its way onto the faces of her companions
"Nylice, can you make the shot if Dax throws the bomb?" Jai'ir asked the Mandalorian. He thought about it a moment then nodded confidently.
"Easy enough, but what's my window of opportunity?" Nylice asked concern in his voice.
"Simple, you lend us your twin blasters and we cover you with them while you set up the shot, once you take it, theoretically if Dax has thrown it properly, it should arc across the battlefield passing by or landing in the center of the Troopers position on the ground. Saying the plan in completion was always something Jai'ir had been trained to do when she was younger, in order to make sure everything is cohesive and plausible.
