I walked back to my car and drove home. I went straight to David's room the moment I got to the house. I searched through his stuff all night and it amounted to nothing. There were no clues or hints or traces of anything at all. I was seriously frustrated. David was dead meat to me. He came, blew my cover, messed the entire mission up, and left as usual. As I sat there, a small part of me started wondering if Khelanie knew anything about it and was even preparing to take over the business. That would really complicate things. My mind was once more racing with more thoughts than it could handle, inching closer to overdrive. I reached into my bedside table drawer and took out my Citalopram. I had promised myself two years ago that I wouldn't take it again, but it seemed like a perfectly appropriate time to break the promise, after all, that seemed to be in vogue... breaking promises. The events of the past month had completely changed everything in my life and it seemed as if nothing could correct it.

I took my time to go through some of the mission files, but still there was nothing that could help me in any way. As I was leaving David's room, I tripped on a pair of his shoes and fell flat on my face. I groaned and turned onto my back. The light reflected off something and it caught my eye. I almost couldn't believe it. There was a small body cam stuck underneath the table. I couldn't tell if it was recording or hidden because of a recording it had made. There was only one way to find out. I took it and went to my room. I plugged it into my laptop and took a deep breath before opening the video files on it. I started form the last one. It was just a recording of our first mission together. I skipped to the last one. The one on which he stabbed me in the back.

I watched the video in silence. My breath caught in my throat when it got to where I was waiting for. He got up and injected me. I played it again and again. It did not make sense to me. The whole time I had given myself the false hope that David did not act of his own accord. That someway somehow, he was forced to do it, but what I was seeing completely shattered my hopes. I put my head on the table, trying to come up with a reasonable explanation. Fortunately, I fell asleep. The answer did not come to me in my sleep. I was doomed. I watched the video again. It was at that moment that something caught my eye... well my ear. A couple of seconds before David got up to sedate me, there were footsteps followed by a brief, quiet gasp from David. The body cam moved about two inches away from the ground. He was arching his back, perfectly still. It all fell into place.

Someone had seen us, come up there and made him sedate me, but then again, why make him do it, why not me?. Looking at the way he moved, the person probably had him at gun point. As things fell in place, more things fell out of place. Why did they choose David instead of me and if he was forced to betray me that night, then why did he break out instead of just turning in the body cam. Those things happened to agents all the time. Unless he had arranged all that with whoever. I had to turn the video into the C.I.A. Even though I was very angry at him, I still felt obliged to clear my brother's name. I just had to. For the sake of my mom and our family name and reputation in the not so wonderful world of espionage.

I uploaded the video file onto a flash drive, grabbed my coat, sat in my car and headed for H.Q. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something that shocked my system. The car that David and the woman had escaped in. It was in the parking lot of a hardware store. I pulled over in the parking lot of a candy store on the other side of the road and made crossed the street into the hardware store. I roamed the aisles cautiously before spotting David unraveling rope. He was in a black hoodie with light gray sweats and a baseball cap pulled low over his head. I had never been as happy to see anyone in the seventeen years that made up my life. I was forced to calm myself down and take a calm approach. I went into the aisle opposite his and leaned against the metal shelf. Before I was able to say anything, he spoke.

" Hello brother." My heart was racing and my insides seemed to have been filed with electricity, but again I remained perfectly calm on the outside. "How did you find me Samuel?" I was slightly taken aback by the cold empty tone of his voice. I shrugged. "Saw you escape car here" He nodded his head slowly, looking like an antagonist in a bad movie. " Here to turn me in?" I shook my head. " I just want to talk". He took his time before saying "spit it out". " I found the body cam in you room". I saw him freeze for barely a second. I had caught him off guard. " So?". I had had enough. " It doesn't add up David. I know someone made you sedate me, but then why did you run away. Why didn't you just turn in the body cam?, and who is the woman who helped you escape?" For a couple of seconds, he was still and silent. Then without warning, he slammed his hand into the shelf, making me jump back almost knocking the other shelf down. "Stay out of it. I'm trying to help you."

He left. Not that I was expecting him to say goodbye or something, but I still didn't get the answers I was looking for. I sat in the car thinking about whether it was a good idea to turn the video in or not. he told me that he was trying to help me. There was a booming clap of thunder, rain started pouring, hammering against the roof of my car and blurring my windscreen. My phone started to ring. I was more than happy to see that it was Khelanie, but a little part of me was secretly hoping that it was David. I picked Her up at the mall and we drove to my house in silence. I popped the popcorn and we went to the home theater. Throughout the movie, my mind was fixed on David and the messy situation that was steadily forming.

I didn't even realize when the movie ended. Khelanie held my hand and I turned to look at her. "What's wrong?". I couldn't just tell her the truth, so all I said was " It's some personal stuff. I think I just need sleep." She smiled deviously. " I think you need to take your mind off things." I was in the middle of asking how, when she stuffed her tongue in my mouth. I gave in. Someway somehow, we ended up in my bedroom. I kicked the door shut behind me and let her push me against the wall, kissing me still. I felt her raise my shirt over my shouldersl leaving it there whilst she kissed my chest and ran her smooth palms running down my chest and abs. I let my fingers linger tenderly before slowly pulling down the zipper on her dress. I ran the tip of my index finger along her spine as the back of the dress slowly fell open.

I slipped my hands into her sleeves and let the dress fall. I felt my shirt come off and I raised Khelanie up and put her on the dressing table. She pulled down my sweats and boxer shorts as I pulled off her silk lingerie. I felt her lock her legs around my waist, gripping my shoulders and burying my face in her breasts. She pulled closer with her legs. I was in. She moaned into my ear, kissing my neck and begging for more. I was going to give it to her. she licked and bit my ear as I continued to thrust my hips, sending myself deeper into her. I lifted her again and dropped her on the bed, continuing still. Her moans got louder and more intense till they finally ceased with one last loud scream, but I wasn't finished yet. and when I did, she did... again. Immediately after, tiredness consumed us and we went out like lights.
