5 - Invitation

"KAZUHA!!!"

You woke up the next morning to a familiar voice screaming from the other side of the house where the front door was.

You almost jumped across the room when you leapt off of Kazuha, which obviously was a mistake and now you felt like you were about to die from the amount of pain you were in. 

"Kazuha are you in there?" Someone said from behind the door followed by knocking

"Yes, I am."

"Okay, I'm coming in"

Kazuha just looked at you and smiled as beidou walked into the room.

"Oh, y/n! What a pleasant surprise!" She said smiling at you.

"Hi, Beidou. How are you?" You replied, trying to hide the fact that your legs were killing you.

"I'm good, I was just about to head over to your work to look for you after I finished talking to Kazuha but since you're already here I guess I'll just tell you both now," 

As Beidou was talking you couldn't help but zone out. It's not that what she was saying specifically was boring it's just that you were too focused on Kazuha to listen to what Beidou was talking about.

His hair, his lips, his body... Everything about him interested you and you were absolutely hooked. He had you wrapped around, his finger and he knew that you could tell. Every so often he'd catch you staring at him and you'd quickly come back to reality and quickly look back at Beidou. It went on like this until Beidou mentioned something you completely forgot about.

"You both are going to the lantern rite I assume," 

"WAIT WHAT?!" You quickly cut her off.

At this point, she and Kazuha were both looking at you confused,

"y/n.. Don't tell me you forgot about the lantern rite," Kazuha said, obviously teasing you.

"N-no! Of course not! I would never forget about a huge event like that!" 

They both knew you were bluffing and laughed. 

'How the fuck could I have forgotten about such a huge event like that!?' You had no clue how you managed to forget about the lantern rite, one of Liyues biggest celebrations.. And you were pissed at yourself for it.

Work was going to be hell that week, it's always busy around lantern rite time. The fact you had to work extra hours, and make sure you got there on time was already enough to stress you out, but now it was going to be even worse. On top of all of that, you didn't have anything to wear or even a date to go with.

An hour went by, Kazuha and Beidou were talking and you were back on the bed looking out one of Kazuha's many windows.

"Okay lovebirds, duty calls at the ship, I'll see you both again soon," Beidou said while winking at Kazuha.

'wait did she call us... lovebirds??' You quickly turned around but Beidou was already gone.

As you let out a sigh, Kazuha walked over to you and was sitting next to you with his legs criss  crossed, eagerly staring at you.

"You look like a puppy dog waiting for a treat." You said and gave him the side-eye.

"So... Who are you taking to the rite this year y/n." He said, still watching you.

"No one, I think I'm just going to go along with friends this year."

His face lit up, and you had a feeling you knew what was coming next.

"But going alone is no fun, you need someone there with you."

"Oh yeah? Like who, I don't have anyone to go with. Besides I have tons of work to do so I don't even have time to think about or even ask anyone to go with me." You complained as you began to get up from the bed.

Deep down, you wanted to go. But not just with anyone, you wanted to go with Kazuha. But you thought he didn't feel the same way, so you made up excuses.

"you and I should go together." You heard him say as you were about to walk out of the room,

"I was gonna wait for you to ask me but I'm very impatient." He pouted while walking up to you, and then grabbed your hand and spun you around so you would look at him. 

At this point when you were turned around, your faces were basically touching. Before you could back up he grabbed your hips and pulled you closer to him.

"So y/n, would you like to go to the lantern rite with me?" He whispered into your ear.

Why the hell is he so good at this?! 

"Yes I would love to." you quickly squirmed out of his arms. 

"SHIT" you said looking at the time. "SEE THIS IS AMAZING AND I LOVE THIS BUT I NEED TO GET GOING NOW!! GOODBYE KAZUHA!" you yelled as you ran out of the house.
