Chapter 5 ~ Sleepover part 2

You wake up and go to check your phone as usual only to find a dark-haired boy sleeping next to you, you try your best not to move too much trying not to wake the boy. He typically always slept in because of how late he stayed up reading so you figured this was just natural for him now. For a while, you just sit there looking at him lost in thought, "my liege, is there something wrong you seem to be staring?" you hear Xingqiu say as you snap back into reality "Oh you're awake, yeah everything's fine just lost In thought." you reply with a slight smile as you sit up properly Xingqiu copying. "Did you have a good sleep?" you ask the dark blue-haired boy he nods and asks the same question to you, you nod your head still smiling as the two of you get up you check your phone for notifications and see a notification from Chongyun you click on it to see what it is

Hey wanna hang today

Whilst I would love to I dont think im up to it im relatively tired because Im currently having a sleepover with Xingqiu and we stayed up quite late I'll text you what happened later but Xingqiu could look any moment so yeah

Im really sorry that I cant hang today though

Oh ok its fine you wouldn't have known I was gonna ask to hang so it's not your fault but tomorrow sounds fine

I put my phone down and say "Hey Xingqiu, Just so you know I cant hang tomorrow cause me and Chongyun are hanging because we haven't all holidays." the boy slightly frowns and then says "oh, ok." and adjusts his frown to a smile "well my liege, if your gonna be busy tomorrow lets hang out today." he suggests "I like that idea also why do you always say 'My liege' to me what does it even mean." you reply with a curious tone "that my liege is a story for another day" he says with a chuckle as your face forms a slightly frustrated expression after seeing your face do so he laughs even more.

"Well you came up with the idea what do you want to do?" you question the boy. You and him had been sitting for a couple of minutes trying to think of something to do "we could just stay here." Xingqiu says "that sounds like a good idea but what should we do while here," you say getting slightly frustrated "we could play pretend" he suggests "im down for that but you do realise how stupid it sounds hearing a 17-year-old say 'play pretend' right." you reply with a smile he gives you a quick glance "Im assuming you will be the princess and because every princess needs a prince I will play the part of the prince, Is this correct my liege." he questions a smile creeps onto your face "You know me so well." you say happily

"So let me check that I have this right you're a girl who lives in the village and never liked socialising you preferred the company of the characters in books you would read and im a prince who loves reading. Unlike my brothers who are all too busy trying to find a wife and become king, I personally couldn't care less about being king or finding a partner I would much rather not have as many duties to attend to." the boy asks .you nod your head and then continue "we first take place in the book store in town that I work at you're in a disguise because whenever you come to town people recognize you and you can't get a second alone so you wear this disguise so that you can shop for books peacefully." smiling once you're finished the backstory this was one of the best ones you had come up with in a long time and even better you had someone here to act it out with you.
