Chapter 2

I ran into the living room and saw uncle Simon.

"I thought you were at work" I exclaimed. "

"I wanted to surprise you when you got here" he said. I gave him a huge hug and smiled a great big smile. I hadn't seen uncle Simon in a long time and it felt nice to see him again.

"Thank you so much for the internship Uncle Simon" I said nicely.

"Anything for my favorite niece" he said as he smiled. "

"I was wondering if you wanted to get dinner and catch up on things" he asked.

I grinned and said, "I sure would love that but I am kinda tired, so do you think we could just order pizza and stay here please."

"I guess that would be fine and I expected you to be a little tired" he replied.

"What would you like Kate" he asked.

"I want a large cheese pizza and that would be all, thanks" I yelled down the hallway.

"Don't you think that thats a lot of food for one girl" he exclaimed.

"No that is a perfect amount of food for a girl who hasn't eaten in forever." I said laughing. I had been trying to put my pjs on so that way I could feel comfortable, I mean it was just me and uncle Simon.

I ran into the living room than slid across the floor to where the couch was. I ended up falling on my butt and almost slid into the table. Uncle Simon and I laughed our heads off and we were laughing so hard that we were nearly crying. I always had a good time when I was with Uncle Simon. He asked if I was ok In between breaths. I told him that I was fine and jumped onto the couch cushion beside him.

"How are you Kate" he asked seriously.

"I am doing just fine and so happy that I am here with you right now" I exclaimed.

"That's great and I'm glad that I am here with my favorite niece too" he said happily.

"How are your parents and friends" he questioned. I told him that everyone is great and that Olivia and stormy both had boyfriends now.

"So do you have a boyfriend Kate?" He wondered.

"No I guess I am just waiting for the right guy. Plus it's better because I would have had to brake up with him anyways If I did have boyfriend back in the states." I said sighing.

"It's ok Kate you will find the right guy soon I just know it." He said with hopefulness in his voice.

"Thanks uncle Simon your the best" I said while giving him a hug.

"I know, I know" he smirked.

The doorbell rang and I nearly tripped over uncle Simon to get to it but I caught myself and opened the door. There was the pizza delivery guy with two pizza boxes in his hands. Uncle Simon had laid the money on the table next to the door so I gave the guy the money and went to the living room and dropped the pizza boxes on the coffee table. I rushed into the kitchen and grabbed us two plates, napkins, and a fork and knife for me. You see I am allergic to milk but I can have a little bit and it won't hurt me so I just pick the cheese off.

I came into the living room to see that uncle Simon had already dug into his pizza. I just laughed and started to dig into my pizza too. I set both of our plates in front of us and give him a napkin.

"So what has been going on in your life recently?" I asked.

"Oh nothing much but I'm a judge on the xfactor and I recently signed a boy group to my label." he said casually.

"Wow that's so cool! What's their name? I might know them." I asked excitedly.

"Their name is One Direction and you will be working with them in the studio." he said.

"Hmm I don't think I have heard of them but I guess that's cool how many are there in the group?" I wondered aloud.

"There are five of them, all of them are from England except for one who is from Ireland." he replied.

We talked a little while more before it started to get dark. He said he had to leave but that he would give me a tour of the recording studio tomorrow. I asked what time that I had to be there by, and he said that I needed to be there by ten A.M. After uncle simon left I went to the bathroom brushed my teeth then went to bed.

The next morning I woke up to my phone playing a Katy Perry song for my alarm. I unzipped my suitcase and pulled out an outfit, got changed, then went to get some breakfast. After that I went back upstairs to brush my teeth.

When I got outside I haled a taxi and told him the address of the building that I was going to. Luckily I had changed my money into pounds yesterday so I payed the taxi driver as I got out. When I turned around I saw the building that uncle Simon owns and it was huge. I walked in the doors and went to uncle Simons office which was on the twenty third floor. I took the elevator up and got out into a hallway. I heard screaming and yelling from ahead of me when I felt someone knock me over.

"Hey" I yelled to the person who knocked me over.

"Sorry" the person yelled as they kept running.

I noticed that it was a guy who looked my age and had a stripped shirt on and red skinny jeans. That was rude I said to myself as I stood up. I turned around and went to uncle Simons office. He showed me around to the different rooms and told me were the bathrooms were. Then uncle Simon took me to one more room. It was a huge recording studio room, it had red walls, a couch, and a sound board in it.

"Wow" I said in awe.

"I know it's a lot to take in huh, anyways this is where you will spend most of your time" he announced.

I went over to the couch and sat down because I had been walking around in high heels all day. All the sudden I heard the door crash in with the wall and some people moaning. I looked down to see...
