Warning

Kim Elisa's POV

I stumbled back as I was shoved against the cold brick wall of the alley. My breath caught in my throat as I looked up, heart pounding. Three girls stood in front of me, smirking with an unsettling confidence. One stepped forward, her voice dripping with venom.

"Listen up, bitch," she sneered, her eyes narrowing. "You better stay away from the boys. Especially Chan."

My pulse quickened, but I managed to speak. "But what did I even do?"

She rolled her eyes as if my question was beneath her. "Oh, playing innocent now, are we? You caught their attention today, and that's enough."

"Get close to them again, and we'll make sure you regret it," another girl chimed in. "Wouldn’t want anything to happen to that pretty little face of yours."

They turned and walked away, their laughter echoing in the narrow alley, leaving me pressed against the wall, shaking. I tried to steady myself, but I couldn't ignore the pain in my shoulder where they had shoved me into the wall. It was a clear warning. Stay away from those boys. Especially Chan.

By the time I got home, my shoulder throbbed, and my parents were still out. They’d left me a message earlier, saying they'd be late. I tried to shake off the tension from the encounter, made some ramen, and settled on the couch, hoping to relax.

My phone buzzed with notifications, pulling me from my thoughts. It was the girls.

Did you make it home safely??

Me

Yes, I’m fine :) (I definitely wasn’t going to tell them about the alley incident.)

Rosé 🌹

Thank God! I was worried. I'll add you to our group chat.

I smiled, grateful for their concern, but I brushed it off, trying not to let today’s events get to me.

A new chat notification popped up.

Hey, Elisa (●'◡'●)

Me

Hey guys!

Before I knew it, plans were being made to hang out at the mall this weekend, and I agreed, happy for the distraction.

That night, as I lay in bed, I couldn’t stop thinking about what had happened in the alley. The anger in those girls’ voices, the threat in their eyes. And then Chan... Why was he at the center of all this?

Next Day

The next morning, I kept reminding myself to stay away from the boys, to follow the warning those girls had given me. But my resolve didn’t last long.

The moment I walked into college, a boy approached me.

“Hey, you’re Chan’s seatmate, right?” he asked casually.

“Y-Yeah…” I stammered, unsure where this was going.

“Could you give this to him when he gets here?” He handed me a letter.

“O-Okay,” I nodded, taking the envelope.

When Chan finally arrived and sat down, I hesitated. I called his name, but he ignored me. I called again, but he still didn’t respond. Frustration built inside me, and before I could stop myself, I snapped.

OI, BANG CHAN! Can’t you hear me calling you?”

The words were out of my mouth before I had time to think. My heart raced as his head shot up, eyes blazing with anger. For a split second, I felt a twinge of fear.

What the hell do you want?” he growled, his voice low and dangerous.

And then I saw it. His eyes. They flashed red, just for a moment but I saw it. I froze, trying to make sense of what I’d just witnessed. My mouth went dry.

Bang Chan's POV

The moment our eyes met, I felt it, my pupils dilating, a shift in my vision. Her scent hit me like a wave. My eyes... I knew they’d changed color. Panic surged through me, and I quickly covered my face. Damn it, I cursed silently. Not now, not here.

When I met her gaze for the first time, I felt something. A connection. Like fate had just shifted, pulling us together in a way I couldn’t quite understand yet. Is she... my mate? I thought. But I couldn’t be sure. I needed to confirm it before I made any assumptions.

Taking a breath, I forced myself to calm down. "What do you want?" I asked her, keeping my tone measured.

She quickly handed me the letter. "A boy gave me this for you," she said, her voice trembling slightly.

I took the letter and glanced at it. "Who gave it to you?" I asked.

"I... I don’t know. He didn’t say his name," she replied.

Something was off. I could feel it. There was a strange energy building, something dangerous approaching. I had to warn the others. Nodding, I thanked her and, despite my earlier outburst, apologized for raising my voice. I needed to get to the boys fast.

Kim Elisa's POV

I stood there, heart racing, trying to process what I had just seen. Did his eyes... really change? I shook my head, trying to dismiss it as a trick of the light, but deep down, I knew what I saw. His eyes had turned red.

I didn’t see him again for the rest of the day, and when lunch rolled around, I met up with the girls. But my mind kept wandering back to that morning.

“Hey, Elisa! How’s your day going so far?” Lisa asked cheerfully.

“Umm... it’s been okay, I guess,” I said, trying to sound casual, though my thoughts were anything but.

“You guess? What happened?” Jennie shot me a worried glance. “Did someone mess with you? Tell us, and we’ll handle it.”

“No, no, it’s nothing like that!” I waved my hands dismissively, laughing to ease the tension. “I’m fine. Promise.”

Rose teased me, saying I’d caught Jisoo’s ‘I’m Okay’ fever, which sent everyone into a fit of laughter. I smiled, but the moment of lightheartedness didn’t last long. That’s when I spotted them, the three girls from yesterday, entering the cafeteria. My stomach dropped as memories of their threat came rushing back. I glanced over at their table, where Chan and the other boys sat, trying not to draw attention.

“Who are those girls?” I asked, nodding toward them.

Jennie scoffed. “Liz and her little followers. They’re just bitches who think they own this place.”

“They’re always picking on other girls,” Lisa added. “But you’re with us now, so don’t worry they won’t dare touch you.”

I bit my lip, wondering if I should tell them what happened yesterday. But for some reason, I stayed quiet.

Then I saw her, Liz flirting with Chan. Jealousy twisted in my gut. Wait... why do I care? I scolded myself, trying to brush it off. But when she leaned in to kiss him and he pushed her away, yelling at her, I felt an odd sense of satisfaction.

Before I could even process what was happening, the bell rang. As I packed my things to leave, I felt someone grab my wrist, pulling me back into the classroom. A flash of déjà vu hit me as I turned around.

It was Bang Chan.

What are they gonna talk about??
