Mysterious Girl

I start laughing as Finn dumps the whole bottle of water on him "better?" I manage to get out "better" he smiles and wipes some water off his face. From behind me I hear Elly squeal "oopsies" as her purse lands on the table spilling out whatever is in it. I sigh and scoop it all into her purse and then I give it to her. "thank you" she replies obviously flirting with me and I am about to turn back around to eat lunch when she says "I have tickets to go see EmilyJulianna in concert", "Delly I'm not going on a date with you" I answer simply "hmph" she says and struts away "god she's annoying" I say. "I'm glad your starting to drop the nice act" Marvel says "well she is!" I say as if he disagreed with me. I walk to the gym because I just felt like shooting some baskets I haven't since I was in elementary school I just kind of felt like doing it. I slip into the entry way to hear someone grunt and the sound of a basketball bounce off the rim and bounce on the floor. I look inside to see a girl from my math class she is stood at the other end off the gym and she fires the ball and it goes across the gym soaring through the air off the backboard and in "Wow" I breathe out she turns her head to look at me noticing my arrival. I walk over to her and say "hi I'm Peeta aren't you in my math class" "actually your in my math class" she snaps back and "I heard" (she's answering to Peeta saying his name) she turns back and fires it across the room once again. that was rude I think. Your name is katniss, right? she puts her hands hand on heart and fake swoons he "knows my name" she says in a stupid sounding voice then she glares and turns back to shooting. I stand in front of her and she fires the ball and it hits me in the jaw I feel pain from that area from the strength and speed of the ball. her face immediately changes and she looks sorry? "Oh my god I'm so sorry" she says, she runs over to the coaches office and grabs ice she runs back and holds it to my jaw. "Are you okay" she asks "where's the rude girl snapping at me" I fire back she looks a bit taken back "right here" she says and walks away "why do you have a problem with me" I ask "because you have the girls falling at your feet, they're all stupid but it's kind of embarrassing even my friends like you" her eyes open wide and I can tell she wasn't supposed to say that. "look I say I'm not rude" and "I'm certainly not a jock, what you said is true but I'm not a stupid player" "you seem like one" she answers back and continues throwing the ball let's start over I say "hi I'm Peeta" 'heard she says and goes back to throwing the ball "you know when someone says let's start over you start over" "Im not an idiot" she says and scowls at me. "I know, your obviously not" I say "so what's your name?" "why do you wanna know" she answers back "because I want to know more about you" "I haven't known you for even ten minutes" she answers "well in ten minutes I can see your not an idiot like all the other girls" I grab a ball and begin to shoot also. she's silent. "I think there's more to you" she rolls her eyes "your just mysterious, your living a cover to block people out from who you are" "the information is much to valuable" she mutters more to herself then me. "why don't we change that between us" "how about we don't" she answers back sharply." why don't you want to? I ask " because your a stinkin' player" she says "and I don't smash down no perfectly good brick walls for players" all the while she's pushing me back further with the ball until I'm up against the wall. she glares at me for a second before releasing the ball and swinging her backpack over her shoulder but when I thought she was gone an ice pack whips around the corner and I catch it she's really mysterious. I'm going to make sure I get to know the mysterious girl no matter what.
