"Felix, your shorts!" Chan appears in the doorway, shorts in hand, and tosses them to Felix when he looks up.

"Oh, thanks," Felix says drily, catching them and stuffing them in his bag. "Would've really missed those until I came back next weekend."

"You might not, remember," Chan says over his shoulder. "You've got exams soon."

"Yeah, not next week! And don't remind me of my impending doom!" Felix calls back. "Let me ignore it in peace."

It's the last week of April. Felix graduates in just over a month. He and Chan have released a new song, and have a few more on the way. The plan is to keep working together for another week or so, maybe less, and then Chan insisted that Felix spend the last couple weeks of his academic career focusing on, well, academics.

"You can see me once your finals are complete," Chan had said, kissing him when he tried to protest, "and once you've done some good old fashioned partying to round out your college experience. Alright?"

No, not alright, Felix wanted to say, but there was no good reason to protest. Chan was right, really; he should make sure he does well on his finals, he should spend these last few weeks with his friends. The only reason Felix didn't argue any more than he had was because Chan hadn't mentioned anything that sounded remotely like a breakup, so it wasn't like their time was running out.

Still, Felix does sort of feel like something is coming to an end. After he graduates, things will be different. He'll work a real job, maybe live with his parents or maybe move out. He won't have the shelter of university to explain what he does on the weekends. It's not like anyone really keeps close tabs on him, but he can't just say he's studying every time someone asks what he's up to anymore.

Granted, one of Chan's producer friends, Seo Changbin, had extended an offer and a contract with his studio. He's based in Seoul, but because of Chan's connection, he has an auxiliary studio in Sydney, and he said Felix was welcome to take his pick or to transfer between the two. In fact, Lee Minho, the man who had interrupted them that day in Chan's studio, is on the board of Changbin's label, and he frequents both cities. Changbin also mentioned that if Felix had any friends that were looking for work after graduation, they should send their resumes his way, which Felix was quick to pass on.

But it'll be different. He'll see Chan in a truly professional setting now, and they'll have a lot more mutual acquaintances. How long will they be able to hide it before everything comes to head? Or until they hit a wall and something has to change?

It's not a right-now problem, though, so Felix pushes it from his mind. Right now, he needs to pack up so Chan can take him back to his dorm. Really, they're running late as it is, but they got distracted after dinner, which started with an innocent kiss and ended with Chan bending Felix over the arm of his couch, gagging him with a tie, and fucking him until he cried. So things didn't go exactly to plan.

But it's okay. Sure, it's Sunday, but Felix doesn't have class in the morning, and besides, it's only ten. Felix will be asleep before midnight, which is better than he does some nights, anyway.

"Got everything?" Chan asks, looking up from tying his shoes when Felix appears in the hallway.

"I think so," Felix says. "Again, I'll probably be back soon enough, so I doubt it'll be a problem even if I did."

"Yeah, yeah," Chan says, leaning against the wall as he waits for Felix to get his shoes on, and then pulling the door open once he's done.

"And, you know, you could always swing by if it's something important," Felix adds as he waits for Chan to lock up.
