You Give Me Butterflies

🎄Third Person POV🎄A/N✨: This is was actually supposed to be the Christmas chapter but I got caught up with homework, let's just pretend we're still in the holiday season because do I have a treat for you all...🥰
It's been two months since you've spoken with Chris.
The holiday season has arrived, and it's kicked into full gear.
Houses and malls had Christmas lights and decorations all over, it was like a Christmas bomb went off that included bright lights, Santas everywhere, green and red colors....
You placed one of those Christmas 'bombs' in your classroom and even set up a small Christmas tree which the kiddos love.
You also invested in an ELF doll and have been moving him around to have the kids look forward to something whenever they come in.
Stella came to school about three weeks after he surgery, and she's doing much better. She even made a new friend...
🎄
"So, Dr. Shepard says your scar is healing very well." Chris turns his face to direct his voice to the backseat where Stella sat in her car seat, watching the leaves fall from the trees.
She stays quiet, knowing she's getting better. But every time she thinks of the scar, runs her fingers over it - she's reminded of her mom.
And the traumatic moment that changed her life forever.
But that was before, where she'd have nightmares about 'him' and Chris would rock her back to sleep.
Now, he is a distant memory, there but silent.
She thinks more of her mom, what she's doing, if she's thinking about Stella, what their life would be like if she never met him.
"Kiddo?" Chris says, making Stella come back to reality.
She was just about to answer when she saw a moving box on the side of the road. It was rattling around like it had something inside it.
It was quick, Chris was driving 35 mph so the car was moving at a pretty quick pace.
But Stella caught a glimpse of the sad eyes and furry tail.
"Stop, the car Uncle Chrissy!" She shouts, putting her hand up to get his attention.
"What?!" Chris looks back to the road to make sure he's driving properly.
"Stop!" She screams and he pulls onto the side of the road.
"What is it, sweetheart?" Chris unbuckled to fully turn to face her. And she was already pushing out from her seat and trying to open the car door.
