Chapter 20
When One Thing Leads to AnotherWelcome back to a brand new chapter of How To Love, happy Sunday my lovelies 💕🍎 another week is upon us and what better way to start it plus kick off this month of June with our fav teacher x lawyer duo 🥰
Warnings: flashback from a previous chapter, foul language (Chrissy ofc), Ransom being an asshole.
~ Y/n ~It is a beautiful, but chilly January morning. The sun is shining but it doesn't seem to be doing much warming. After Chris left and left me hot and bothered, my skin is in a rush of heat. I can't stop thinking about the way he was looking at me.
Like he wanted to eat me up, the way he just drove all this way and barged in taking control. I don't know how I'm supposed to function at all today.
I am sweating with my winter coat on, waiting for the kids outside along with the other teachers. In this part of the school, the 3rd and 4th grade teachers wait for their students.
While the other grades are distributed in other parts of the school as their assigned pick up/drop off area.
Tom is going on and on about this music festival this weekend, and I am such a bad friend for not paying attention. I just can't stop thinking about Chris.
It's crazy to think that at the beginning of the school year, we got off on a really bad start.
And never in a million years would I see myself falling for someone the way Chris portrays to be.
But once I started kind of moving aside those layers of cement he has up because he has such a high guard up for Stella, I've seen his true persona.
And that is who I'm currently drooling after.
"When's the next break?"
Tom asks, and Sebastian is right next to him waiting for his own class. He has about three kids already in line, Tom has two and I don't have any...yet.
"President's Day?" Sebastian doesn't look at me, but he answers Tom. In which Tom gasps and almost falls over, "yeah I think that right." Sebastian looks to one of his students who simply shrugs.
"Um, Sebastian, that is in February, it's the beginning of January!" I laugh at Tom being dramatic; he's always been this way, and I think it's part of the reason the girls in his class love him so much.
"MISS Y/L/N!" Rose appears, hugging me tight, I am so happy to see her as well. One thing they don't tell you about the teaching career is no matter what grade you teach. They will all always feel like your kids.
"Hi Rose!" I look up to see Colin, Rose's stepdad, waving goodbye to me. Waving back, I smile as he walks away and back to his car.
Not like he's going to be able to get out of the school grounds anytime soon, because it's always a chaos here during pick up and drop off times.
