Sitting in an alleyway I took out the paper I received from Luciden. A magical feathered pen with the tip dipped in ink appeared. I reached out for the feathered pen and began to write "please help me." I sat down with the pen and paper to wait for the response. The smell of burning filled the air.
The paper slowly burned from a fire that appeared out of nowhere. It had to be magic that was the only way. Soon after the pen had vanished too. Surprised by this, I closed my eyes quickly and panicked. I knew I was the next to be vanishing. Opening my eyes and looking down, my hand slowly started to fade.
My torso started to fade along with it. I held my breath and closed my eyes so the fading could go faster. My eyesight started to get darker and I could barely see light through my eyelids. "Artarum, what's the matter? Did the plan backfire?" I heard Lucidens voice in the darkness.
I wonder if I made it to him yet. "You can open your eyes now." I opened my eyes and looked around. I was back inside the little shack in the forest. I let out a huge relief that I was back in a safe space away from all the running from the guards.
