Kirstie Pov:
Walking home from a party at Scott's and Mitch's, it started to pour down rain. Wonderful, just what I needed with a upcoming mini hangover I knew I would have from the few drinks I consumed just a while ago.

"Out of any time of the night it could've rained, it decided to rain when I was walking home." I grumbled, pulling my coat closer to my body.
Now I wished I wouldn't have walked over to Scott and his goofy, drunken brunette sidekick's house, cause now by the time I finish walking to my house I'll be soaked to the bone from this storm. Well, I could've called Kevin or Todrick to see if they could drive me home, but Kurvy would more than likely be asleep, and Toddy is probably drunk to the point he can't stand on his own feet, so I was out of ideas and mostly soaked. I looked around the streetlight lit sidewalk to see a figure standing half in an alleyway, and he or she was looking at me. Curious, I started to walk faster to see how it was that saw interest in me.

"Whoever you are, you need to stay away from me." A deep voice said, sending a shiver down my spine.

"But it's pouring outside, don't you want to get out of all this?" I asked, walking toward him.

"Who would bother to let this monster in?" He asked, appearing in the dim streetlight.

"I would, if it's okay with you." I said sweetly, smiling shyly.
He smirked and stepped toward me, Seeing that I wasn't a threat to him. Once I could see him I noticed that he was strangely handsome. Shoulder length brown hair that curled on its own, about 5'11", and had bright green eyes and a beard that fit his face perfectly. Any girl who saw him would want to be his, that was definite.

"If you don't mind dealing with my craziness, then I'll take your offer." He smiled. But I noticed something was different with his teeth..two on each set of teeth were pointed..odd...w-was h-he....? No, there were no more vampires that we know of, all of them were dead, none to be found. But....this man...he looked just like the ones I was told about, he showed all of it.

"Well, I don't mind if you stay with me until we can find out were you live or whatever." I said sweetly, extending my hand to him.
He slowly took it and we walked in the stormy night to my house. As we walked I noticed something, his hands were oddly warm, though his whole body was soaked. This man was so odd..but I was strangely interested in him.

"So..h-how much longer until we get to your house? I-I'm freezing..." He mumbled, pulling the drenched jacket over his shivering body.

"It won't be too much longer, and I'm freezing too. But what is your name? I haven't got to ask you that." I said softly, looking into his bright green eyes that stood out in the dark night.

"My name is Avriel, but I prefer Avi. It's what most people call me." He said, a small smile pulling at his lips.
Avi, what an unusual name, but it fit for much an unusual man.

"What is your name?" Avi asked me, mischief dancing in his eyes.

"My name is Kirstin, but most people call me Kirstie." I said, walking a little closer to him.

"Kirstie. Kirstie...it's a pretty name, but it fits for a pretty girl." He giggled, a blush coming out from under his scruffy beard that seems to need a trimming.
I blushed and kept my eyes from him, but I felt the bright green eyes staring into the side of my head. We walked the rest of the way home in comfortable silence, both of us occasionally humming softly as the rain still poured.

"Well, we're here, the house is a little messy though.." I muttered, a small smile coming to my face.

"I don't mind, I just really want to get out of this storm right now." He whispered, a shiver taking over his body.
