Once I arrive home from practice, I immediately open my phone. I see numerous texts from Tory.
Tory
Allison!
What the fuck?
Robby told me everything
You joined Sam and her team?
Why?
How could u fucking do that to us?!
Answer my texts!!
I know you're reading this!I ignore Tory's texts. I don't know how to respond to them. I run up to my room and quickly shower. After, I start my homework, but I can't concentrate. I can't stop thinking about how much Tory must hate me right now. All of the sudden, I hear the sound of the doorbell.
"Allison! It's for you!" My mom yells from downstairs. I run down the steps, and I see Tory standing in the doorway. My mom leaves so it's just the two of us. I walk out the door and close it.
"Hey," Tory says.
"Hi, Tory," I say. We stand in silence for a few seconds.
"Well, aren't you going to say something? Maybe apologize?" Tory asks rudely.
"You're the one who came over to my house, Tory!"
"Yea, but you know why I'm here," she raises her voice. "How could you?"
"I told you that I-"
"That you don't like the no mercy thing," Tory finishes my sentence, rolling her eyes. "Yea, I know. I've heard it a million times."
"Ok, so then you know why I left Cobra Kai. What's the big deal?"
"The big deal isn't that you just left Cobra Kai! You left and then joined Sam's team. You know how much I hate her," Tory says angrily.
"Just because you hate her doesn't mean that I can't talk to her. I can do what I want."
"I understand. But you literally went behind my back. When I was talking to you at school, you never once mentioned joining Sam's team!"
She's right. I should have told her. There was no point in going behind her back.
"I'm sorry. I should have told you," I say calmly, but a look of anger is still plastered on Tory's face.
"Yea, you should have," she scoffs.
"Can we still be friends?" I ask.
"Yea, but only if you quit Miyagi-do," she says.
"Well- I'm not quitting, Tory. I'm sorry. I like it there," I say, and she shakes her head.
"Fine, then. Have fun with your new group of friends." Tory walks away. As she walks away, I grab her arm to stop her.
"Tory, I really don't want to fight. You're my best friend," I say.
"I guess you should have thought about that before joining," she turns around to walk away, but I grab her arm again.
"Wait! Before you go — how's Robby?" I ask. "We talked earlier and he also seemed really mad at me."
Tory sighs. "If you're asking me if Robby still likes you, he does. But he's really mad at you. We all are," she says. "I'm gonna go now."
"Ok. Well- I'll talk to you tomorrow."
"Don't," she says, and she walks away.

The next day at school wasn't much better. Tory avoided me for the entire day. She didn't say a word to me. And since she didn't want to talk to me, I decided to talk to Sam.Sam and I just finished our last classes of the day. I'm walking down the hallway with my books in my arms, talking to Sam, who's right next to me. We are laughing, and Tory catches a glimpse of us for a quick second. I watch as her face becomes angry, and she storms over to us.
"Awww. Are you two best friends now?" Tory asks in a baby-ish tone.
"Oh- shut up, Tory!" I roll my eyes.
"Allison, she's just jealous," Sam says. "She's jealous that you left Cobra Kai and that you're now on a better team," Sam smiles. "No need to be upset."
"I'm not jealous. You guys will be the ones who are when Cobra Kai wins the All-Valley," Tory says.
"Yea, right," Sam scoffs. "Cmon Allison, we have practice," she says, taking my arm and dragging me with her.
"See you soon LaPusso," I hear Tory yell behind us, and I watch as Sam rolls her eyes angrily. Sam and I gather our things from our locker, and we head outside to the school parking lot. As we're walking to Sam's car, I hear someone call my name. I turn around and it's Brody — from the party. He walks over.
"Brody? I didn't know you went to this school." I say.
"Oh, I don't go here. I go to a private school. I'm just waiting here for a friend," he says. "So...it's been a while."
"Yea," I say, thinking back to the party when Robby punched him in the face. I notice Sam is still next to me. "Um, Sam- I'll meet you at your car. Ill be there in like 2 minutes," I say to her, and she nods her head and leaves.
"Hey, so. About the party — I didn't realize you had a boyfriend," he says, scratching his head. "I wouldn't have flirted with you if I knew tha-"
"Oh. It's fine. He's not my boyfriend," I laugh.
"Oh, cool," he smiles. "So, um. Do you want to hang out some time, maybe?" I don't know what to say. I miss Robby, but he hates me right now. He doesn't want anything to do with me anymore.
"Yea, sure! Let me give you my number." He hands me his phone and I type in my phone number.
"Great. So, I'll see you soon," he says.
"Sounds good," I smile. Brody waves bye and walks over to his friend who just exited the school doors.
"Ok! Who was that? Is he a senior? Tell me everything!" Sam yells once I sit down and close the door to her car. I laugh.
"I mean. His name's Brody. He's a senior. He and his friends are rich. And, that's kinda all I know. I met him a while ago at a party," I say as Sam pulls out of the parking spot.
"You guys would make such a cute couple!" Sam says.
"I don't know," I say. "I still miss Robby. But I know he hates me now."
"Because you joined Miyagi-do?"
"Yea," I say, looking out as Sam drives.
"You should hang out with Brody. He seems cool, and it will take your mind off Robby," she says. "You guys should go to a movie or something."
"Yea, maybe. He said he would text me."

After practice is over, Sam offers to drive me home. In the car, I get a text from Brody."Brody just texted. He's asking if I want to go to a movie tomorrow night," I smile.
"Oh my gosh! Text him back! Say yes!" Sam smiles. I reply back, saying yes. "What are you going to wear?!"
"Oh, uh- I don't know. Whatever I have, I guess." Sam doesn't like that answer, so when she drops me off, she runs up to my room to help me pick out something for tomorrow. Sam goes through my hangers, taking out clothing and putting the ones she doesn't like back into the closet.
"Ok, so since it's the movies, it's casual. How about the jeans with this top?" Sam asks. The jeans in Sam's hand are fine, however, in Sam's other hand, she's holding a very short crop top.
"Sam! I can't wear that top to the movies! That's as short as my bra!"
"Exactly!" she smiles. "You're going to look hot in it. And Brody will love it." I throw a pillow at her face, and she stumbles back laughing.
"Ok, fine I'll wear it," I laugh.

The entire next day, I was very excited for the evening.Brody picked me up at my house in his black sports car. I wore the clothes that Sam and I chose the night before, but I decided to wear a light sweater over it for now since it was a bit cool-ish outside. The evening so far was going great, until Brody and I arrived at the movie theater and I saw Robby standing in line for tickets. And there was another girl next to him.
