IN THEIR OWN WORLD

CHAPTER 1 '' TO BE WATCHED ''

Standing beneath the AR building, Ananya reflected on the events of the previous days. She had taken the whole last week to rethink about everything; the emotions she felt, the principles she had, and the plans she had set to achieve her goals. Even her parents had been worried like hell over her as it hardly ever happened that she didn't follow her daily life schedule. Everything had to be done at a certain time, and unless ill, she used to do everything to her schedule. But the last few days provided an eye opener for her. She no longer wanted to be bound by the rules and goals. After being a prisoner of her own life for ages, she was finally going to just follow the flow. Hell with all the rules, no one could stop her from living every damn day of her life.

Suddenly, her phone rang, breaking her thought process. A smile stretched across her face as she picked up the phone and was greeted by her friend's loud voice, "Where the FUCK have you been, you loser? I was so worried that you were going to be late." Ananya sighed and replied, "CHILL Riya, we still have 5 minutes before the introduction begins. I am just outside the building."

She was taken aback by the interior of the building, which had glass walls on all sides and grey hues covering the interior. "THIS IS THE THING I NEED IN MY LIFE," she thought as she approached the receptionist, "Hi, can you tell me where I have to report? I am the newly hired for the designer team." receptionist scanned her from head to toe and gave her a nasty glare, "You had to be here on time, miss.". Listening to her, her smile diminished, "I understand, but I am still before the reporting time," Ananya replied, her tone getting a little high. Giving a curt nod, the receptionist pointed to the elevator, "Go up to the 14th floor, make sure you are on time next time."

Ananya read the enormous gold name plate on the big entrance, "CEO'S WING," as she walked up to it. She took a deep breath and proceeded to open the door. The scurrying of individuals could be heard, which was not surprising given that at least 50 people were enrolled in this internship programme.They were surrounded by complete silence as soon as Ananya reached up to Riya and could begin to speak; only his footsteps could be heard. Looking up, Ananya saw the most perfect human walking in, so handsome  with a chiselled jawline and silky smooth hair falling on his forehead. In the meantime, he was busy talking on the phone to someone, but his face was stoic, denoting no feelings whatsoever, Following behind him were his team of secretaries and bodyguards. Finally, when his call ended, he moved towards the centre of the corridor where the podium was placed. "Hello everyone. Maybe you all know me, but for those who don't, I am Aarav Singhania. As you know, we have covered various industries, and you will be assigned to one based on your qualifications. Keep in mind, however, that in the end, I will be reviewing your work and deciding your fate. No favours will get you anywhere here; work with honesty and hard work, and I will be happy to see you on the other side. Until then, all the best, and I despise people who stare at me.

.. As soon as his last words ended, Ananya's trance broke, and she saw him looking at her with those intimating eyes. While she wasn't still looking away, Riya pinched her, making Ananya wince and look down, and soon the commotion  of him leaving started and some other lady took over, who was announcing the departments people had been assigned to. Riya, "You see, I told you to come early, but no, you can never listen to me," Ananya, "Riyaa chill na nothing happened, uk na I am no longer following any rules, many others would have to looked at him ," Ananya replied, cool but within herself,  doubtful at the idea. "No one but you were starting at him, Others were here to listen to the rules. Now best of luck with the way he was eyeing you. " They heard their names being called out before Ananya could reply further ,  they were assigned to the interior designing department, which was in the main building itself. Taking a deep breath, they stared walking towards the elevator, hoping nothing would happen now.

But no one noticed , as his cabin was so that no one could look inside but he could see everything . Throughout the whole conversation they had he was noticing the girl in white , who had been starting at him when he was speaking , having long hairs and plump lips moving ever so softly , and he smirked . No one could explain why the devil was smirking , but it sure meant nothing good
