"Tell me everything" my friend and band mate Cat yelled excitedly, grabbing onto my shoulder.
"Nothing to tell really, we went to get a milkshake and then I drove him home"
She sat down and shook her head.
"You're telling me that you just met Michael Clifford and all you did was drive him home?"
"Yup" I said simply
"I feel like that isn't physically possible"
"Maybe you would've hyperventilated. But I didn't." I laughed picking up my guitar.
"Overdrive?"i asked the group.
"We've played that at least four times today" Cat argued.
"And it's sounding pretty good right?" I defended
"Yeah until you kill your voice and we over play it so we're sick of it" she pointed it out.
"Not doing this today" Our drummer said tiredly.
"Let's just play a cover" Elliot said as she picked up her bass.
"I miss you?" Skylar asked from behind the drum set
"Why not" I answered and we all began to play.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"Thank you guys" I said through the mic. My voice echoed through the tiny cafe and we all got off of the small stage.
"Hey, Chris? Are you guys the band who called me?" A short man, who had a fake smile and over enthusiastic voice asked me. "Yeah, that's us" I smiled politely.
"Okay, well I'd love to have you guys play. on Friday?"
I weakly nodded
"Is that short notice?" He asked half heartedly.
"No we can do next Friday, thankyou!" I hurried over to the other girls and shared the news.
"Friday?" Elliot and Skylar both said nervously.
"We can do it! We just need to start practicing a lot more on our own" Cat reassured the two.
"And we can hang out all week" spring break was a life saver.
"Okay sounds good I guess if we practice" Elliot said hesitantly.
We all sat and drank our coffee while we waited for the other musicians to be done.
I took off t my phone and decided to text Michael back.
Me: if you insist on it I suppose :)
I smiled as I pressed send. Then I waited. And those three minutes that I waited, I was pretty restless. I set my phone down.
Then picked it up once again and checked the time 5 consecutive times.
Michael: Well I do, how's tonight?
My ringer came on and I answered quickly, hurrying to the bathroom.
"Hey, tonight?" I asked still in a hushed tone.
"Yeah, I mean I get it if not but I can pick you up now?" He suggested
"I'm in Saratoga so if you can figure that o-"
"We're in Saratoga too"He excitedly said
"Alright, I'll see you soon"
"Michael"
"Yeah?"
"Would you like to know where I am? You know since you're picking me up" I laughed.
"Oh yeah uh where are you?"
"It's a cafe on the corner of"
"Got it"
An suv pulled up outside and the back window rolled down, revealing Michael who was motioning for me to come out.
I quickly left the front door and hopped in the car.
"Hey, nice to see you again" he smiled as he moved over, pushing another guy to the side.
"You too" I smiled back
"This is Luke" he pointed to the boy next to him.
He had blonde hair and blue eyes. And I probably don't need to go into anymore detail because as you all know it was the beautiful man we call Luke Hemmings.
"Hey" Luke said quickly and then went back to his phone.
I nodded and smiled at him.
"I'm Calum" the guy in the passenger seat turned around and waved subtlety.
"And I'm ashton" a loud voice boomed from the drivers side.
"I'm Chris" I answered all of them then looked out the window.
"So what are you up for Chris, wanna grab a bite, or catch a movie?" Calum asked nicely.
"Furious 7?" Luke asked from the other side of Michael.
"I'm down" Ashton said
"I guess" Calum agreed
Michael looked over at me and raised an eye brow. I nodded "Sounds good"
"Alright then let's go mate" Michael patted Ashton on the shoulder.

The movie theatre was nearly empty and very quiet when we entered.
"Middle is always the best" Michael explained
"nope the back, you're next doesn't cramp" Calum pointed to the last row of seats.
"I'm with Calum" Luke said
"figures, I'll sit with you two" Ashton gathered us and pushed us forward to a few rows ahead.
I sat in the middle of them, Michael on my right and Ashton on my left.
Ashton took the popcorn from my hands and instantly started eating it.
"You know there is a bottom to that bucket" I laughed while Michael reached over to grab a handful.
By the time the movie started, Michael and I were deep into a game of tic tac toe on my phone.
"No phones now that movie has started" he locked my phone and tucked it into his pocket.
"Not cool" I held my hand out "give it back"
"Now why would I do that? I'm sorry Chris it's the rules"
I leaned over to grab it, he was now holding it far away and laughing at my arms that were too short to reach the other side of him.
"Michael"
"Could you two stop?" Ashton snapped, getting into the movie.
We both returned to our seats quietly. I stifled a laugh and watched the screen intently.
The ending, which was a tribute to Paul Walker, came too quickly and Michael poked me and nodded toward Ashton who was quietly crying. I laughed and wiped my eyes quickly not wanting Michael to see the tears that had formed in mine as well.
We all exited the theatre and Michael and I walked a little behind the group to the car.
"You're crying" Michael stopped and pulled me back farther to walk beside him.
"Am not"
"You are too, what's wrong?" He laughed and turned me around to face him.
"It's just that in these movies when people die, I'm okay because I know they're alive in real life. But in this one, I didn't have that reassurance" I said softly.
He laughed and I rolled my eyes and turned around.
"Hey" he pulled me by my arm and into a hug "I'm sorry I get it"
His arms were warm, and I didn't know wether to give in to it or not.
So I pulled away, and laughed it off
"Thanks sorry" I said turning to walk to the car.
He waited back for a couple of minutes.
"Where to now?" Ashton asked when we finally all got situated to the car.
"We should probably get Chris home" Michael said.
The drive to my house was quiet and awkward, but I liked it because Michael sat close to me and brushed his hand against mine slightly the whole way.
"Here we are" I said once we pulled into my driveway.
"Thanks for the ride" I got out of the car "and the movie" Michael got out and hugged me "and the popcorn" I laughed when he pulled me into him.
"Goodnight Michael"
"See you soon?"
"Yeah, I had fun" I smiled and turned to walk to the door.
