You both made your way out of the café after a few hours. Kai needed to drive to the airport so he could fly to Hawaii where he would meet his dad.
"Too bad you couldn't stay longer, call me next time you happen to be around again." You said patting his back.
"You too, come to Korea some time." He looked somber as he spoke.
"I will, promise." You spotted his taxi down the street heading towards you both. You frowned, you were gonna miss him. You hoped you would see him again soon.
"Alright, we'll I better get out of here. Let's keep in touch, OK? Text me soon." He waved the taxi over and opened the trunk to put his duffel bag inside. He closed the trunk with a "thunk!" He then turned to you and to your surprised wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his chin on your shoulder.
"Love you, Y/N. Sorry again that I have to leave so soon." You shook your head and to your surprise you began to tear up. You had missed him more than you thought.
"Please stop apologizing." You were weeping now, leaving a wet splotch on his sweater. He stroked your hair and pushed you away from his chest to look you in the eyes.
"I'll be back this time, I promise." He hugged you one last time and plucked a hair out of your eyes. He pulled open the taxi door and sat down, quickly buckling his seat belt. He shut the door, waved goodbye, and was gone.
