"Goodbye..."

"where am I?" I asked myself

I was in a place I didn't know and I couldn't remember how I got there. William was by my side, I asked him something, but he didn't answer, he walked ahead of me. When he was a few meters in front of me some car pulled over
People with black masks came out
I tried to run to him, but I was too slow. William shouted for help as the four men with masks were forcing him into the car. I tried my best but I couldn't do anything. Then, out of nowhere, a voice.

"It's all fake " it said to me, over and over again.

Then one of the men looked a me running, he pulled out a gun, and... shot me

" Bang! " I heard.

Then I woke up, heavy breathing.

" What a horrible dream that was " I said to myself

I told my sister about my dream.

" If that were to happen, I would kill myself " she said

" why? " I asked

She turned her back to me and looked to a picture of William, her, and I that we had set on a small table.

" there is no point in living if I don't have you two " she said

" Don't worry, it's just a bad dream, that won't happen". I said while hugging her.

We went to school, I took my regular classes, at lunch, I saw
William.

"finally Friday, tomorrow no school " William said.

I thought of telling him about my dream.

"Nah, there is no need to tell him, it's just a dream " I thought to myself.

" Hey Erick, are you okay? "William asked me.

" Oh yeah, I'm fine, I just got lost in my thoughts". I replied

"Okay" he said

"hey, can we meet somewhere tomorrow? I need to talk to you " he continued to say.

" sure, let's meet at the park at 3 pm tomorrow "I replied to him.

" Okay, see you there then " he said.

" Hey, Baby " I heard a voice from behind me.

It was Keith, she kissed me and then said," I'm leaving tomorrow, I have to go to another country to visit my family, so you won't be seeing me in a couple weeks ".

" Okay Babe, love you " I said to her.

I have never been good at expressing feelings so I just said that.

" love you too " she said before walking away.

Bell rang, time to go to class. Each hour that passed I cared less about the dream I had. After school I went home, took a shower, and went to sleep right away, I was really tired that day.

Next day was Saturday, I overslept. When I woke up I looked at my alarm clock and it was two thirty five pm.

"I forgot, William wanted to talk to me today " I said to myself.

I took a shower, brushed my teeth, and then got ready to leave.
When I got to the park William was there, waiting for me.

" So, want to play chess while you tell me what you wanted to talk about? " I said to him.

" No, actually, I'd like to go for a walk this time " he replied.

We started walking.

" So, next week your sister and I,
Well it's our anniversary, so, I was wondering if you could help me do something special for her? " he said.
" Sure, anything you need, I will do it, I mean, that's what best friends are for, right? " I answered.

" great! " he said.

We kept talking about ideas for something special and walked for a long time. I noticed we had left the park. I had never been to the place we where in now. I asked William where we were.

" I don't know, let me read that sing over there, it might say where we are,wait here" he said.

I sat on a bench by the side of the road. There was something about this place that bothered me. I didn't know what, but something did, like I had been here before.

I looked at William, he was taking to long. He was still reading the sing . Then a car stopped by him.
Instantly I remembered my dream.

"No! " I thought to myself as I ran towards William shouting his name. Then the same men with black masks got out of the car, and started to force William into their car. William was trying to free himself, but they were too strong.
Then I remembered the last part of my dream, I stopped, but it was already to late. One of the men was pointing his gun at me.

"No..." I whispered as a tear came down from my eye to my mouth.
I tasted the salt in my tear, and also tasted the bitterness in my heart of knowing that I was about to die.

*Bang!* I heard.

All my life went through my thoughts. Then, I blacked out. Everything felt cold, I was in a dark place, one light that was far away from me told me to walk to it, And so I did. I was getting to the light, but then, a person appeared right in front of me.

He was wearing a demon mask and black clothes .

"Oh hi Satan " I said to him.

" your time hasn't come, go back and live your life" He said to me.

" Live my life?, but am I not dead?"I said to him.

"now I give you the choice, walk to the light, and see what awaits you there, or go back the way you came and live your life"he said to me.

"I... I... I will go back! I need to get revenge for William and make sure my sister is okay " I said to him.

" Revenge will get you killed, try to get revenge and you will be meeting up with me again, now, be gone! " he said to me.

" three, two, one, clear", I heard as I woke up.

I was in the hospital, I looked at Gabriela who was right beside me an smiled. She started crying.

"Where is William " I asked.

" H-he-.. He's gone " she said to me and then cried even more.

" no.. "I said.

Two weeks passed and I had recovered, Keith was still out of the country, and Gabriela... Well, she had changed a lot, she wasn't the optimistic girl anymore, she always looked depressed and sad.

It was Saturday, I went downstairs to get breakfast, but instead I found a note in the table.
"Sorry William, but I can't take it anymore, it's time for me to go
-Gabriela ".

" No! " I said.

I went outside and started asking if anybody had seen her, someone told me the had seen her at one of the apartment buildings near by.
I went there as fast as I could. Because of the suicidal letter I read I supposed she was on the rooftop, so I went running through the stairs getting people out of my way. When I got to the roof, there she was, about to jump off .

"Gabriela, don't do it! " I yelled at her.

She looked at me an said" I can't take it anymore Erick, I miss William ".

" just don't do it, don't jump sis' " I said

She turned away and looked at the sky

" Goodbye..."
