"Goodbye My Friend"

I started falling down . I knew soon my neck was going to be pulled and I was going to die. I was ready for it , all I loved was now gone I had no reason to live anymore . I was falling, but I didn't feel the pull.

*bam*

I fell to the ground. What happened, Why didn't I asficciate like I had planned ?
Either the blankets weren't strong enough to keep me hanging or I didn't tie them correctly. I had no time to think about that, the other guy was probably on his way here. I heard some running, and then the door was kicked down. As I expected, it was him.

I looked up to finally find the reason why I didn't die, the blankets weren't tight enough, but that wasn't all. The fan was not well attached to the roof, and it looked as if it was going to fall down.

"if this falls one of us is going to get hurt"
I thought to myself.

It needed to be me, the other guy had no reason to die. It was time for suicidal plan B. I saw how the fan was falling down. I closed my eyes, expecting it to fall on me and get stabbed by on of its blades. I heard a sound, As if the fan already had fallen down. I waited I few seconds, nothing happened, I didn't feel any pain. I opened my eyes and saw the other guy almost on top of me, the fan had landed on his back. I didn't see any blood running down which meant that he wasn't badly injured.

"why did you save me" I asked.

"because...that's what best friends do, isn't it?" he replied while still balancing the fan on his back.

Wait what, "best friends"? Who is this guy, should I know him from somewhere. Wait,could it be....

He got the fan off his back and stood up. He moved his hands very slowly for was injured and couldn't move very fast. He reached for his mask. Then he took it off.

"long time no see, old friend " He said.

I instantly recognized his face, I was astonished by who it was...

" William!! " I said while trying to clear my eyes to see if this was a dream.

I couldn't believe it. My best friend, the one that supposedly had died long ago was here, standing right in front of me.

" I thought you were dead, how did you survive? " I asked.

" We can talk about it later, first I need to go check my injuries to see how bad they are. After I'm done I will tell you everything " he answered.

" You want me to come with you to check them? "I asked.

" Nah, I have a first aid kit in the bathroom. I should be fine by myself don't worry " he said with a smile as he left the room.

I sat down on the bed. I was stunt by the fact that William was alive, but at the same time I was really happy that the person helping me fight was my best friend. Gabriela Is going to be so happy, that is is we beat Zunfix of course.

*ring ring *

I heard a phone. It was next to the bed on a small table. How didn't I see it before.
I reached for the phone, an unknown number was calling. I answered the call.

"Hello, hello" the person on the phone said.

I somehow recognized that voice. who was it?

"Hey Erick I know you are there, it's me your beloved friend, Zunfix" the person on the phone said.

I knew I had heard that voice before. It was that idiot who came to ruin my life and play a little game.

"What do you want now Zunfix? "I said in an aggressive manner.

" gosh what a way to greet a good friend bruh " he said.

" if that's all you want to say, bye "I said.

" no wait, there is something important I need to tell you. I figured that our game was a little, well, unfair. How? you may ask. Well I am giving you all the time you want to find me, and that doesn't seem fun, but I found a way to make it even more fun and exiting, it will also be fare now. You are probably bored of m talking right now so I'm going to jump straight to the point. While you look for me, I'm going to send people to kill you! " he said to me.

My heart started beating faster. I knew he would dare to do it. I needed to find him before he killed in.

" doesn't that sound fun and exciting?! " he yelled.

" what the heck is wrong with you Zunfix "I yelled at him.

He totally ignored me and said
" well, that's all bye, oh I almost forgot, I'm going to leave you a little hint as to where I am "the knight moves ", bye! "

He hanged the phone. What could this hint mean.I was scared now. I needed to tell William about the new threat. Suddenly, I hear a knocking on the door.

Then William came to the room and said
" We need to get out of here quick, the men with black masks are here again".

Zunfix had already sent people after me, how did he figure out my location? I needed to get out of there. I heard the front door being kicked down. William grabbed me and threw me out the window. He jumped after me. The window wasn't that far from the ground so I survived. Suddenly gun shots were heard coming from multiple directions. We ran to the nearest car and stole it, we had to or else we were going to die. William drove as fast as he could. He was driving too fast, if only he had pushed the breaks. We wouldn't have crashed.

"I'm dead now " I thought to myself.

I blacked out. When I woke up I was being pulled out of the car by one of the men with black masks. He threw my onto the floor. He pointed a gun at me. Then William punched him.

" Run! " he yelled as he struggled to fight the strong man with black mask.

I stood up and slowly walked away. I went hiding on an abandoned building from which I could still see William fighting. I wanted to help him,but I was too weak. The man with the black mask punched William and pointed his gun at him.

"noo! " I said in my mind.

*bang*

William got shot. He fell to the ground. He was bleeding. I saw how the man with the black mask dragged him into his car and drove away. William was now dead for ever. His blood was still next to the car we stole.

I closed my eyes while a single tear came down my left eye...

"Goodbye my friend "...
