'An angel is a supernatural being or spirit, often depicted in humanoid form with feathered wings on their backs and halos around their heads, found in various religions and mythologies.'

'The term "angel" has also been expanded to various notions of spirits found in many other religious traditions. Other roles of angels include protecting and guiding human beings, and carrying out God's tasks.'

'The word angel in English is a blend of Old English engel and Old French angele. Both derive from Late Latin angelus "messenger of God," which in turn was borrowed from Late Greek ἄγγελος ángelos.'

So what should we call these beings that have taken my father? These beings that have treated my family like shit. These beings that have no interest in my life or my friends' lives. These 'heavenly beings.' It all just seems like one big joke really. I couldn't understand how this was being allowed to happen. How God was allowing this to happen. Maybe this was God's word, even though I really doubted that. But even if it was, I wasn't going to allow them to hurt my father or Dean. Personally I wanted to split from the boys now and go rescue my father myself but I knew I needed their help and that Dean just wouldn't have it. So I hopped into my car and started to lead the way to this Grotto of Redemption. The trip was going to take about three hours, giving me plenty of time to think. Maybe a little too much time. I finally let myself think about the situation I was in. Not about what's up with my dad but the decision I have to make. I still didn't understand my role but I could feel I was running out of time to find out. Ugh.

Suddenly I saw movement from the corner of my eye. I spun my head over to the passenger seat to find none other than Amitiel. She took a second and then made eye contact with me, looking like her usual unemotional self. I made a disgusted sound and turned to look back at the road in front of me. "Nicole." I heard her sigh but I kept my eyes on the road. She took in a deep breath. "Nicole, I know what you are about to do." She stated. I'd guessed that much, I let myself glance over at her.

"And are you going to let me?" I asked her. Her face distorted into a conflicted expression.

"Raguel does not-" She started to answer me, but I interrupted her.

"I didn't ask Raguel, I asked you." I spat at her before looking back at the road.

"I do not have an opinion." Amitiel informed me. I raised an eyebrow.

"More like you're not allowed one." I retorted.

"This is true, we are loyal soldiers, we are not meant to have opinions." She explained to me. I shook my head.

"So what're you going to do?" I asked her, cutting to the chase. She nodded her head and clasped her hands together.

"I must stop you, I have been ordered to take you to your father, to join your father." Amitiel told me. I felt my heart drop.

"What about Dean and Sam?" I questioned her further, looking over at her. Her eyebrow switched up lightly.

"They were not mentioned in my orders." She answered with. I fought the small smile wanting to appear. There was still hope. I kept myself together and nodded silently. She reached up but then paused and looked down to my side.

"You might want to leave that here." She suggested, noticing the angel blade. I rolled my eyes and placed it on the dashboard. Amitiel then placed her index finger on my forehead and I felt myself brake heavily.

Dean's POV:

"What the hell!" I exclaimed as Nic suddenly braked hard in front of me. I managed to screech Baby to a stop just before hitting Nic's little red classic. "What's she doing?" I waited for her to step out of her car and explain what was going on but after a couple of seconds I became inpatient. I sighed in frustration and climbed out of the impala, marching over to her Ferrari. Once I reached the driver's window I looked in. Wait. Oh shit. I took a step back in astonishment. She was gone. She just went poof and disappeared. I ran my hand along my chin and just stared at her empty seat. I heard Sam get out of the car and jog to meet me. He gave me a confused look then followed my gaze into the car.
