Chapter 7

(8:00PM) Night before Cruise

Jay and I had already finished packing for the trip.

I asked Carly about the destination but she said it was a surprise.

Ring! Ring!

The house phone was ringing, I jogged down the stairs and answered the call.

"Hello?" I answered

"Hey Girlfriend!!!!" Came a highly annoying voice, I squirmed away from the phone.

Sam.

Why am I friends with her again?

"What's up?" I asked casually

"I'm tired from all that packing, and hungry.. Wanna go get something?" Sam asked

I was hungry and I'm sure Jay was too,

"Okay," I replied

"The usual?" She asked.

"Yeah," I shook my head even thought she couldn't see me.

As my brother and I entered Al's, the welcoming smell of coffee beans filled my nostrils,

I loved that smell.

I saw Sam waving to us, she was sitting by the window, I walked over, and took a seat.

I told Sam about Carly and Deklyn having my phone.

She was a little uncomfortable about the cruise, but I get my way.

"Hey, how was packing?" I asked Sam, knowing how much she hated packing for trips or vacations.

"Two words; Fucking Horrible!" Sam exclaimed, I rolled my eyes at her outburst.

"I'm so happy you didn't bring your retard brother," Sam giggle happily.

I looked around the coffee house.... Where was Jay?

"He came.. I don't know where he is." I said, but knowing Jay, he's probably sleeping in his car.

One time, Sam, Jay and I went to the theater. Jay drove us.

Sam and I thought Jay was in the theater, when the film finished Sam and I looked for him

And he slept in the car the entire time.

Sam and I ordered coffee and pie, cup cakes and brownies.

We talked about Carly and what we were planning to do on the trip.

After one hour Al's began closing up, Sam and I walked to Jay's car but he wasn't there either.

I got nervous.

"Sam can I borrow your phone?" I asked, wrapping my hand around my body from the cold night wind.

"Whats wrong with you--?" Sam started but laughed and handed me her phone.

I groaned loudly as I collected her phone.

'Ring' No answer

What if something bad had happened to him??

'Ring' No answer

What if he-- My thoughts were interrupted when Jay answered,

"Whhhaaatt dooo youuu want SSamm?" Jay slurred out

He was drunk?!

"Jay! You dumb fuck! Where are you?" I yelled and Sam gave me a questioning look.

"Clairyyyyy, I loove youuu, you're the besst sisterrr. I'm sorryy if I everr made youu sad.."

Jay slurred and It sounded as if he was crying.

"I love you too Jay, but where are you?" I asked hoping he wouldn't pass out.

"Attt Jerry's Bar," He sniffled (A/N I made up Jerry's)

"Okay, stay there I'm gonna come get you." I ordered

"kayyy,"

So here I was with Jay in his car, driving him home.

He said that he met one of his buddies from school or somewhere and they had a few drinks.

As soon as we got home, I dumped Jay in his room and showered, brushed my teeth and jumped in bed.

Ughhh I missed my phone.
