You were hunched over, starting to fall asleep despite your back screaming. Eric was still in your arms, he stopped shaking hours ago and just slept now, but you couldn't bring yourself to let him go yet. He had a slight fever you kept checking on, doing that was the only thing that had kept you awake. Now however, even that was failing. Your head started drifting into that state between awake and asleep, already starting to imagine things. Unfortunately for you, your dreams always were just memories.

---

Voices of the figures that brought you here started filling your head as memories started playing, getting louder. "We've got a big day set up for you two grubs, better get up" was what you remembered them saying. You were completely asleep now, slouching over more till your forehead was on his shoulder. You were in you minds hands now.

"Did you hear us? We said get up!" was yelled out before you both heard the door swing open. It had been just under a week since your capture/first escape attempt. It had gone horribly, you and Eric had stuck to the plan, waited till they got close then jumped them. But unfortunately, the fight hadn't even gone on a minute before you both were tased to the ground. Kicks thrown into your sides till you guys close to death, they then left you on the cold ground for days, no food, only enough water to keep you breathing.

That was the first part of you realizing how much trouble you were in. Then the torture started. Every day those two came to put you through hours pain, the only words you would hear from them was "Tell us what we need to know and this ends." or "Just tell us and it all will stop, it's so simple."

And here they were again, picking you two up roughly by the arms. Despite what had happened last time, you two had done your best to keep your will strong, not to give in. Deciding to not let it be easy, you guys resisted, fought, went dead weight, anything you could do to make them struggle. The problem is it was getting harder to do every time. It seemed the more you resisted the worse the day was.

But you had no idea what was in store for you today as you squirmed, bit, and kicked. Maybe if you had known, you wouldn't have fought so much, you would have saved that energy to just get through everything.

As per usual they drug Eric and you out, parting ways as soon as they got you to a hallway. As yours kept you walking, your eyes landing on the all too familiar door. It was the door you had went into everyday so far. It was an interrogation room, where they beat you, kicked you, and tested to see how long they could strangle you without killing you. Being reminded of how easy it was to make it end. You had started to slow your legs when you got closer to the door, prepared to stop. It was only when you passed the door, neck twisting as you did, did your stomach start to twist. You knew what was through the door, you knew what the day would bring there, but now it was behind you. Where was he taking you?

Now you had no clue what to expect, that was terrifying. Your head started to spin, the possibilities flying around, were they going to kill you today? Was it going to be something worse? You didn't want to find out. You decided maybe it was best if you just kept your eyes to the ground, he kept walking you for a few more minutes before arriving at a new door. It was in much better shape than the one you had been used to, a lot stronger and bigger. Within seconds he pulled out a keycard, swiping it in the door, causing it to open on its own. You looked up, peeking into the room.

What you saw made your heart drop.

Unlike the first room where you were beaten and strangled, this room was far bigger, brighter, and cleaner. Most importantly, it had a lot more equipment. Medical grade equipment, some of it you recognized from your faction, most though was all to new and menacing. It smelled like a hospital, sterile and cold. The fluorescent lights had been such a shock on your eyes that you got a headache the moment your feet passed the threshold.

You were shoved over to a hospital bed, were the figure handcuffed you. That fight or flight started creeping its way through your body, but in all honesty, flight was sounding better. There was a small clatter of metal items, you couldn't help but whip your head around to the sound. When you did so you saw another tall figure, face hidden like the others. It turned to you, you didn't need to see its face to know there was a menacing grin as it spoke "Well, you must be my new toy." those words did nothing to calm your nerves "Hm, I do wish they had given you to me in better shape, but beggars can't be choosers, can we?". He strode over to you, gloved hands picking your chin up, and slowly turning your head from one side to another. This little inspection went on for a few minutes, anticipation growing, especially when the only noise he made was "Hm".

"Sadly, for me I don't think I can start you where I had wanted to. In your current state you might not make it passed the afternoon if I do. I'll just have to find another way to have some fun." Fun. F u n. Fun was the last word you would associate with what was gonna happen. Those were also the last words he said to you that day. The only noises to replace that sound were his occasional hm's, and your crying.

Thinking back, despite this being one of the tamest days you would come to know, this is really the day that broke you. You realized that day just how much shit you both were really in. It would only get worse from here. Now training in dauntless brought a lot of pain, but nothing like this. By the end of the day your body was screaming. Every movement felt like you were being ripped apart. Even getting carried back to your cell was enough to keep you crying.

You had expected to see Eric in the same painful agony you were in, but when you got thrown into the cell he was just sat there. His face was beat up but he certainly in better shape then you were. The moment his eyes landed on you his brows furrowed up and eyes widened. His body leaned over, examining you, the you who was now curled on the floor, silent tears streaming down your face.

He had no idea what to do, he tried sitting you up, but you just winced and pushed him away. "What the fuck happened to you?! Jesus Christ y/n". It took minutes of trying but you eventually were able to talk, and you told him everything. About the new room, new man, new pain, all of it. After that you learned that he didn't get a new room, just the same old thing you guys had been getting. He definitely didn't like the sound of all this new stuff, anymore then you liked experiencing it.

-------

"Y/n hey y/n" Your back was shook gently as you were woke up, "Hey, wake up" said a gentle but stern voice. Slowly setting up you groggily looked down at Eric. His eyes were blood shot and tired as he stared at you. It took a moment for your memories to catch up with you, but once they did your eyes grew as you sat up fully, helping him sit up. He let out a groan as he pushed himself up, coughing hoarsely. "Eric, are you okay?" you asked, putting one of your hands on his back "Been better. How long was I out?" "I'm not sure but I think it's been a while." A sigh escaped him, he let his head drop into his hands, absolutely exhausted. Watching him, you felt tears fill your eyes, that was terrifying. They usually sent y'all back in bad shape, but this time you weren't sure if Eric was gonna wake up. That thought alone makes you feel sick. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, he tensed for a second, then relaxed as you sat your head against his.

After doing so you felt two hands on your arm, just holding you while you hugged him. You two are all each other's got in here, couldn't imagine what would happen if either of you were alone.
