Today was the day y/n was moving form Ohio to LA. She was nervous but all she wanted was her mom and life to go back to how it was. That's what she was thinking about the whole plane ride. She didn't even know who the family were and she hated not knowing but according to her social worker they were good people but she doubted that.

As she was collecting her bags a wave of anxiety and nausea hit her she had only felt like this one time before and that was when her dad died. She reminded herself it was only for 2 years then you can go back to living with your mom and everything with be ok.

She walked out there were lots of people standing around. As she searched for a sign with her name on she came a across a small family standing together she noticed they had a sign but couldn't see it properly so she walked over to them anyways. As she go there the short lady said "your y/n right" I simply just nodded letting her know I didn't want to speak. She introduced herself next saying "hi I'm Marsha Jacobs and this is my husband cal Jacobs and my elder son Aaron and my younger son Nate" they all simply just smiled slightly and waved except the youngest Nate he seemed to look at me like I was a book written in French like he was confused by me.

Cal took my bags and Marsha put her arm around me which made me uncomfortable but oh well, they led me to the car it was a nice car compared to what my dad had. Marsha told me to sit in the back with the boys. As we were driving I felt a slight awkward atmosphere around me like they had been arguing which made even more uncomfortable than I was. But Cal broke it by saying "I'm gonna stop off at the shop quick" which Nate responded with "I need to sort something out in there I'm coming" which seemed to put me on edge a little bit. When they got out the car Marsha turned round and said "hey sweetie have eaten or would you want to have dinner with us" my head told me to say no but my heart told me to say yes so I did. She quickly nodded and turned round again just in time for Nate a Cal to get back in the car.

When we started to pull away I noticed and ginger guy come out the shop and light a blunt he looked straight at Nate angrily then turned his attention to me with a confused look on his face. I thought to myself why he looked so confused then I thought about it and realized I'd be confused if I saw someone I never met in a car with people I know.

The rest of the car journey was silent until we pulled up on the drive. I saw the house and thought "holy shit this house is big" well it was compared to my little bungalow me and my mom and dad lived in man I miss it. I unbuckled my seatbelt and sighed heavily thinking this year was gonna be tough.

(And oh boy was I right)
