First day of school

I woke up at 6:30 so I just decided to get up anyways and walked out to the corridor to shower. By the time I finished showering it was 6:50 and walked out in my towel as no one was up. So I carried on getting ready doing my hair in French braids and light makeup and comfy but nice clothes because I was only going to school.

After that it was about 7:20 and I could hear people and the radio in the kitchen. So I walked down the stairs into the kitchen to be met with a stressed Marsha rushing around toasting toast. She said a quick "morning" before handing me a piece of toast and going back to what she was doing.

I walked to the living room and no one was in there so I sat on the couch and turned the TV on watching outer banks for the 100th time. As I finished my last bite of toast Nate walked in with books in his hand. "Oh you watch this shit as well" he said I gave him a confused look and said "as well" he looked back at me looking like he was contemplating telling me. "Maddy my erh girlfriend she watches this" i replied saying "oh cool really" he just nodded and went back to what he was doing.

After I finished my episode I looked at my phone and it said 7:55 so I got up and asked Nate if he was ready to go and he said yeah. As we got outside a short girl with normal braids and glasses in dungarees was standing next to the car. She was cute but I don't know who she is and why's she's here. She rushed over to me saying "omg hi I'm Charlie and I'm your neighbor, it's so nice to meet you. I wanted to come over earlier this week but my mum was like no but I'm so glad we can go to school together and you can sit with me at lunch and it's just me because I don't actually have any friends but I have you now so this is great". I stared at her my mouth open slightly kind of shocked at how much she just said. I replied with "hi I'm y/n, it's nice to meet you to". She smiled again as she got in the car Nate just smirked at me while I rolled my eyes.

The whole car journey Charlie was talking non stop about god knows what because I wasn't listening I was just starring out the window adding "yeah" and "mhm" to the conversation I wasn't interested in.

When we arrived I thanked Nate then got out. But as we started walking down the corridors a lot of people were starring at me and Charlie as well. But I just shrugged this off as Charlie led me to the office. When we got there she gave me a time table and the key to my locker. In the meantime Charlie was still talking the whole time which was getting on my nerves a lot but she seemed lonely so I didn't say anything. We started walking to my locker and hers was two away from mine which she was happy about.

I was putting my books away while Charlie was waiting for me. A group of girls strutted down over to us. They were all wearing high heels and mini skirts and crop tops I rolled my eyes knowing they were the "popular girls". But they didn't come over to me they went to Charlie and slapped her books out her hand a said "loser". I was infuriated by this especially because Charlie was now my friend so I went over and said "hey what the fuck do you think your doing" they turned on there heels and stared at me for a second before the middle one replied with "Omg hi you must be the new girl living with the Jacobs, your brother is so fit Maddy is so lucky" I was taken aback by this and said "He's not my fucking brother" which seemed to catch every one in the corridors attention. She didn't say anything so I said "you go near Charlie again I will fuck you up got it" she quickly nodded and scurried off. Charlie engulfed me in a massive hug and repeated thank you a million times.

As we broke the hug I noticed a boy with two tattoos on his face with a buzz cut and he looked at me shocked but proud. But when he noticed me starring back he rolled his eyes and walked off. I thought to myself what a dick but who cares he just a stupid boy anyways right?
