Annabeth's POV,
The shadowhunters stood frozen in shock. Maryse straightened up. Some of her usual imperious air was back, her mouth a thin line, her jaw set with determination. "Go and pack," she said. "We leave tonight."
Nico turned to the demigods and Lena. "Look, I'll be gone for a bit, but you guys have to leave, now." Percy gave him a look that Annabeth couldn't read. "Look, man, we might be able to help. With whatever this -" He was cut of by Jace laughing and shaking his head. "You guys are just a few teenagers what are you guys going to help us with?"
Jason opened his mouth looking ready to argue with what Jace was saying, but Nico intervened. "Jace just shut up. You don't know there story's as much as they know yours."
He turned his head towards the demigods. "Come on," he said. "I'll show you guys out."

The doors shut behind them. Percy sighed and ran his hand though his hair. "I wish there was something we could do for them."
He said looking around as if he didn't know what to do, and Annabeth knew that for him this was like walking in uncharted ground.
"Yeah me too. I feel sorry that we can't help them." Piper said.

Nico stood against the wall of the institute. The Portal had been created by a blue-skinned warlock woman named Catarina Loss, not Magnus Bane.
The whole conclave-nearly every shadowhunter in New York City-had come through the gates of the institute and passed through the shimmering Portal. The Lightwoods, as guardians of the institute, would go last.
He looked around seeing the most the could before he would go to Alicante. Alicante, the place his mother was actually born. He sighed and ran a hand though his hair as he grabbed his (few) belongings and went through the Portal, knowing that this would be the last he'd see of New York for a while.
