Sam woke the next morning. No more nightmares. He felt well rested as he sat up but couldn't help but frown. His room was empty. He was hoping Dean would've been there when he woke up. He couldn't complain though, Dean had been doing so much for him and Sam appreciate it. He slowly got up, stretching, and made his way slowly out of his room and down the hall. Remembering where the kitchen was, and following the smell he got there, smiling when he saw Dean. Sam didn't even have to say anything. Dean glanced over where Sam stood in the doorway, smiling at him. "Hey, look who's up." Sam blushed as he walked over to the table and sat down. "Sorry, guess I was more tired then I thought." Sam told him. "Hey, don't worry about it." Dean told him. "First night in a new place. Plus you didn't sleep the best... which theres nothing wrong with." He said quickly. "Rest up as much as you need. I got breakfast covered." Dean said. Sam smiled. "Thank you. You need any help?" Sam asked, Dean shook his head, plating up the food. "Nope. It's already finished." He said, handing Sam a plate. Bacon, eggs and toast. "Smells great." Sam said taking it from him. Dean grabbed two cups of coffee and handed one to Sam before sitting down with his own food. "It's not much. I should run out to the store, grab some more essentials." Dean said as he started eating. "Well it's enough for me. Thank you." Sam said as he ate. "Don't mention it."

Dean had just gotten back from the store. He offered to take Sam but Sam wanted to stay back. Look around and explore more. Dean walked in through the bunker, bags of groceries in hand. He saw Sam sitting at the table he always did he research on. Sam seemed to be doing the same thing. "I see you found the library." Dean said. Sam glanced over at him. He had a few closed books, as well as a few open ones scattered on the table. "Hey. Yeah, I think I did. All of this, the history of this place, some lore you had and things you had highlighted, theres just so much." Sam said. Dean thought he seemed both intrigued and confused. "Lots's of questions?" Dean asked gently. Sam nodded. "Yeah, it's just all this lore and mythology, I'm not sure what's true and what's not. You already had a lot marked and highlighted so I'm assuming that's all true. Like ways to kill a vampire, or skin walker. There's some stuff in here I've never even heard of before. Like uh... what was it? Jin?" Dean smiled softly at Sams rambling. "A Djinn." Dean said. Sam nodded. "Yeah, yeah that. And how spirits can attach themselves to objects? How do you even find out what object that is? It could be anything." Dean couldn't help his smile. Sam was absolutely adorable trying to do some research. "How about I grab us some coffee and we go over this together." Dean said. Sam nodded. "That would be great. I'm sorry. I just, I have so man question and I'm trying to figure things out on my own, theres just so much here." "Hey..." Dean said softly. "Don't worry ok? Doing research alone sucks. Honestly it's a pain in the ass. I don't know how many times I've had to call for help or hours spent reading over things. I'll explain to you what I know, and anything else we'll figure out together." Sam nodded, body more relaxed. "That sounds perfect." He smiled softly. "Be right back, have your questions ready." Dean teased lightly as he headed to the kitchen. "Theres gonna be a lot of them!" Sam called out, chuckling softly. Sam felt happy, like Dean genuinely cared for him and wanted to help. Things were great. Perfect. Little did he know...

Castiel had come back a few times since leaving. But kept himself hidden. He watched them, listened to their conversations. And he didn't like what he was hearing, his reasons were his own. The way Dean acted around Sam was different from other people. He was kinder, much nicer then usual. His guard wasn't up as much. He seemed genuinely happy with Sam around. Can didn't like it. He would doo something about it. Or at least try to. Over the course of the next few days Castiel continued to watch them. They both seemed happy, to enjoy each others company. They spent hours reading over the books that Dean so often complained about, but not once did he huff, complain or fall asleep while helping Sam with it. It made Castiel feel things he hadn't felt before. He had to end it.

Sam was in his room putting away his clothes. He had been fully unpacked for a while now but had finished his laundry. He felt his life had gotten so much better since meeting Dean, He turned to grab his shirts and almost bumped right into Castiel. Sam gasped loudly and stumbled back. Painting softly as his heart hammered in his chest. "C-Castiel?" Sam said softly, slowly straightening back up. "Oh man, I.. sorry you just.. you scared me. I'm not used to you popping in yet." Sam told him. "No one is. not even Dean." Castiel said, eyes on Sam, his face unreadable. Sam nodded, feeling some tension. "oh, ok." Sam said slowly. "So uh.. what brings you here? Did you need Dean for some.." "You're Deans new friend?" Castiel asked, cutting him off. Sam was caught off guard by the question. "Kind of yeah. Um.. We're a bit more then friends.." Sam said, not knowing how an angel would feel about two guys being together. "So boyfriends?" Castiel asked. Sam hesitated but slowly nodded. "Something like that, we.." "Are you sure?" Castiel asked. Sam looked at him confused. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Sam asked. "Deans helped a lot of people. You're just one of them." Sam was taken aback from that statement. "What?" He didn't like the way this was affecting his confidence in Dean. "No, it's different Castiel." He said. Castiels face still remained unchanging. "I've known Dean for a while Sam. I've watched him help and save multiple people. He's a caring person by nature. He wants to help. Feels compelled to do so. It's what makes him who is. Helping people. You're just one of them." Castiel said. Sam felt something in his heart break. Was Castiel actually right? "I.. no.. he doesn't.." "You're just another one of his charity cases." Castiel said. "You have your own room. You don't sleep together. Has he kissed you or told you he loves you?" Sam wanted to defend Dean but right now he was starting to question everything. Did Dean only bring him here because he felt like he had to help? Did Dean even really like him? There was silence for a moment. Sam felt hurt, and upset more then anything. "Excuse me." Sam said softly, brushing past Castiel to step out of the room. He needed to talk to Dean.
