Sunoo woke up exactly 4:00 am because his alarm went off. He starts to take a light shower and changed into his pastel pink jacket with a hood. After changing, he decided to roam around his room. Checking every nooks and crevices. He could only sighed in defeat as his 20 yrs of life here in this room is soon to end.
He continues to stop his eyes from shedding tears. Sunoo went to the living room, touching the couch where they mostly spent talking to each other but now is filled with dog toys and pillows. The kitchen where all of his favorite snacks are now replaced with Gabby's dog snacks.
"How different this house is after coming out." Sunoo thought.
As he waits at the couch, he notices that all of his previous achievements framed, pictures when he was young, medals, and the bracelets he gave to his parents before is now gone. All are replaced with Gabby's picture on the park, and them.
Sunoo could only smile bitterly from the fact they really want to let him feel like a stranger on their house. As he goes to the cabinet, he scrambles on it and found it.
His heart started to tighten as his medals, pictures when he was young is unkemptly placed on the cabinet. As it made sound, a creak from his parents door is heard.
Sunoo's mother went to the noise and found out Sunoo holding a picture of them before. He instantly hid it but his mother already saw it.
"What are you doing?" His mom asked.
"Nothing, I'm just looking at something and I found this." Sunoo showed the picture frame and was about to return it back to the cabinet.
"No, take it back. Take it all. Sooner or later, we will de-clutter things and we will dispose your things." His mom replied.
"Aren't you gonna ask why I'm bringing a luggage?" Sunoo asked.
"No, I already knew someday that you would leave. I planned to renovate your room into Gabby's playroom." His mom replied with venom and viciousness.
"Aren't you even gonna miss me?" Sunoo asked hoping that his mom would go soft. He would literally cancel his plans to go at Matt's hometown if his mother even showed any ounce of affection left.
"It's hard for us already to know we're living under the same roof and It's hard for you. So can you please do us a favor and Never come back. Just stay wherever you are and don't show yourself in front of us- Again. We will not force you anymore. We will just hurt each other. Let's just forget each other and live our lives separately." His mother expressionlessly said as he handed Sunoo an envelope.
An envelope that contains a handful of money. That was the most painful thing that any parent could say to their child. Sunoo's eyes immediately shed tears upon hearing it. He knew immediately that moment was the irrevocable severed parent and child relationship.
His mother goes back without looking at Sunoo's distorted and painful expression. Her heart immediately tightens as she closes the door on their bedroom leaving Sunoo in shambles on the living room.
Not after 10 minutes from that heartbreaking scene, Matt messaged him that he's outside at his house. Sunoo immediately carries the luggage and went out of the door while feeling heavy and blue.
"Hey, are you okay?" Matt asked as they rode a taxi on the way to the station.
"I'm not." Sunoo replied honestly. Regardless if he lied, his expressions would definitely give a different answer.
"Why? Do you want to stay here? Just tell me and I'll ask someone to let you stay at their house. You know, it's better if you stay here right?" Matt said.
"No, it's quite different from that. But hey, why are you always insisting that I should stay here. Don't you want me to go?" Sunoo asked curiously.
"Nothing, I just thought you wouldn't like it there. Plus, your friends are here. You might find it boring there." Matt replied.
"Please stop, it's not about that. Okay!" Sunoo retorted.
"Okay fine, whatever works for you." Matt said.
After a smooth 30 minutes ride on the way to the train station. They arrived safely. Matt bought the tickets and Sunoo just stayed at the chairs waiting for him.
"This is it Sunoo, I'm starting a new life right now. Just leave the painful past." Sunoo thought.
After paying for the train tickets on the way to Matt's hometown, they went inside the train. There were a few people because it's early morning. A lot of things has boggled on Sunoo's mind.
A minute before the train's departure, Matt instinctively brought it up again. "Are you really sure you're going? Cause we still have a minute if you want to back out."
"Why the fuck are you trying to drive me away. Isn't it a good reason that I wanted to be with you? plus, my parents are really adamant on driving me away on their house." Sunoo replied as his tears started to fall from the sudden pressure and their conversation of his mother started to sink in.
"Shhhhh, I'm sorry okay. I'll never bring it up again. It's alright baby. I'm here. I'll stay with you. You're coming with me." Matt consoled Sunoo and kissed his forehead.
As the minute passed by, the train started to take it's course on the way to Matt's hometown. Sunoo's crying made him feel tired. He couldn't help but to drift off from the sudden exhaustion physically, mentally, and emotionally.
The train course will take at least 6 hours. So by the time they'll arrive it's gonna be 9 am. Sunoo continued to sleep while Matt stayed on his phone texting someone.
