Chalo ab saach batado, pyar humse karte ho na
Juda hone ke khayalon Se, tum bhi darte ho na

"SHEHNAAZ!" Sidharth screamed. He stood in shock for a few seconds as he watched Shehnaaz break down in front of him once again, but for a completely different reason. He felt his blood run cold as he watched the small and fragile girl that had unknowingly made a place for herself in his heart, in his life, scream and sob as she huddled her sweaty and teary form to her chest, rocking back and forth, clutching her palms to her ears.
Shehnaaz did not hear the room's door being flung open and neither did she hear Sidharth scream out her name. There was only one voice ringing in her ear that was making her skin crawl, it made her want to wring herself out... she wanted everything to just stop and go away and there was only one way to make that happen. Her body needed pain.
Shehnaaz wanted the voice to disappear, she wanted the feeling of something crawling under her skin to go away and the only way to free herself of this never-ending pit of pain that kept being inflicted upon her was to punish her body by herself. It would end her sufferings. It had in the past and it would once again.
*Whip*
"Phirse karon gi aisa?! HUH?! BOLO..."
*Whip*
"Shehnu, you know na I don't like doing this! Par kya karoon, tumh meri baat manti hi nahi ho! TUMH.MERI.BAAT.MAANTI.HI.NAHI.HO!"
*WHIP WHIP*
Shehnaaz let out another gasp and a soul-shattering sob mixed scream as she pulled her palms away from her ear and brought it towards her arm, pushing the sleeves of Sidharth's sweater up and before Sidharth or even she, herself, could realise what she was doing, Shehnaaz dug her nails deep into her arm, piercing the skin as she dragged her nails down her arms.
"No! SHEHNNAZ!" Sidharth yelled when he saw her harm herself. That was enough to break him out of whatever trance he was stuck in. He quickly ran towards where she sat and gathered her in his arms, pulling her into him as he hugged her tightly but not before pulling her hands away from her arm.
He felt his eyes well up when he saw the scratches Shehnaaz had managed to leave behind on her soft and supple skin. Her elbows were already bruised from falling on the stairs and now her scratching herself had added to the bruises. Sidharth tightened his hold on her, caressing her hair and back as he watched in worry and shock as her sweaty and shaking body trashed against him, crying.
"Kuch nahi huwa! Main hoon, bass bass!" Sidharth whispered in her ears as he continue to tighten his arms around her, pressing a gentle kiss against her the crown of her head that was matted in sweat. How did she get here? As far as he knew Shehnaaz, she did not seem like the one to wander off into strange areas alone. Even though she was a curious girl, her fears would overshadow those curiosities and so her coming here by herself did not seem right. Itna toh woh janna laga tha Shehnaaz ko...ya yeh kehain ka aisa lag raha tha ka woh yeh baat pehle sai hi jaanta tha.
"Sidharth!" Shehnaaz whimpered, gasping when she felt him engulf her tightly. She sobbed out louder, clinging onto him tightly, shoving her entire body into him, trying to hide from the dark shadows of the room and her past. She could still hear the voice, her skin continued to crawl, disgust seeping through her yet unlike before where she turned to pain, this time she pushed herself further into Sidharth. Into her warmth and peace.
