Elizabeth's POV

Awkward .

Is the only word that can describe my situation right now.
I could never imagine myself in such a situation .

I kept quiet and stared outside as he drove to God knows where.

I should've stayed home last night , then nothing of this sort would have happened . I could've avoided this awful drive and bizarre deal with my boss.Only if I had stayed at home last night , then I would've been enjoying my breakfast with Ana at this time.

Oh My God !

I didn't tell her anything about this , how am I supposed to explain her that I have a boyfriend all of sudden . She is gonna freak out .

I immediately grabbed my phone when I remembered I had promised her to be home in half an hour. She has packed my phone inbox with so many texts .

14 missed calls .

Oh no!! Why do I put my phone on silent .

I immediately called her back only to have her screaming at me.

Hello Beth !! God damn gurl where in the hell you are ?? Are you alright ? Why aint you back yet ?

Wincing at her loud tone I pulled my phone away from my ears .

Breath Ana ! I am alright, Absolutely peachy! Don't worry I'll be home soon . I am heading out for breakfast .

I could hear her relieve a sigh of relief. Now I feel guilty . I should've informed her I am gonna be late.

Where??

I look sideways , not knowing where I am going ?i mumbled a

And he whispered " At Maria's "and I repeated after him

And I hung up the phone after muttering a bye to her.

We entered together and sat on an empty table .After placing our order I asked him

" Are you sure we can't skip that dinner tonight ??"I asked timidly

" offcourse we can't skip that ! Or else mom would kill me . She is already announcing this to everyone !!"

" What !? But sir we agreed to keep this a secret ! " I dont want everyone to know about this . If the office staff gets the wind of this then I'll be their gossip topic for weeks. An office romance between the boss and his secretary is bound to create buzz . Everyone will doubt my capabilities as his secretary assuming I seduced him for my job .

" Offcourse and we'll keep it that way ,I'll talk to mom to keep this a secret ! "

" That will be good .....if you don't mind me asking ,do you really think it will work 'this fake relationship thingy' . Do you really think we can pull this act . She is your mom for God sake , what if she didn't believe it " i put forward my thoughts.
