Background Information: Princess Persephone is the adoptive daughter of the Devil and is actually the true ruler of Inkwell Isle. Her real parents were the king and queen of Inkwell Isle, before they died in a tragic accident when she was a baby.

Unlike her adoptive father, Persephone is kinder and sweeter towards her subjects, making the princess more beloved all across Inkwell Isle. She secretly warns Cuphead and Mugman about the Devil and the adventures they'll take without him knowing.

While the Devil does secretly have a soft side for her, he's often strict and never lets her wonder off without him knowing. But, that doesn't stop Persephone from sneaking out to help the boys.

When she first meets the boys, Cuphead experiences love at first sight and has a huge crush on Persephone. The young princess finds the older cup brother cute and funny, much to the dismay of the Devil.
