Kiss Me More // A Jegulus Story

-Chapter 3-

TW: Cussing

We arrived at Hogwarts, separated by houses and sent to our corresponding tables. I looked towards the Slytherin table and made eye contact with Regulus. I smiled at him, but he looked away. He never smiles.

I didn't pay much attention to the sorting ceremony, I just talked to the Marauders the whole time. We were in the middle of planning our next prank on Snivellus when the table was stocked with an amazing feast. There was chicken, ham, turkey, potatoes of all kinds, vegetables, you name it.

Just like it started, the feast ended and everyone was full. We all got up and exited the room, going to our common rooms to get this years password. It's "Gargantuan Hippopotamuses". We all sat around the common room, telling jokes and catching up. Mary, Marlene, and Lily were ignoring us as per usual, talking amongst themselves, when Marlene asked me the question.

"So James, who made you realize you like boys, huh?" She smirked. I didn't know how to answer.

"Uhh... someone?" I tried to reason. Of course, that didn't work at all.

"That isn't gonna cut it, gimme a name" She demanded, in a friendly way. At this point everyone was listening, waiting for me to answer. I looked towards Sirius, Remus, and Peter, silently pleading for help. 

"Maybe we shouldn't pressure him guys." Remus stated, breaking the tension. I gave him a thankful smile and got up to go to the bathroom. That was close. Too close. Way too fucking close.

As I exited the bathroom I was met with Sirius staring at me.

"You know you can tell me anything, right Jamsie?" Sirius lead with. "So, who's the guy?"

"Uhh... I.." This was it. I had to tell him. "Please, Please don't get mad at me, okay?"

"Why would I get mad?"

"B- because it's Regulus.."

"WHAT?! MY LITTLE BROTHER?! JAMES, YOU FUCKING BITCH!" He yelled and stormed out, I followed him. We ran into the common room, everyone was watching us.

"Sirius please-"

"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT JAMES."

"Please just calm down-"

"CALM DOWN?? YOU'RE IN LOVE WITH MY LITTLE BROTHER. I CAN'T FUCKING 'CALM DOWN'. I NEVER WANT TO TALK TO YOU AGAIN."

He left the common room. I felt my vision blur, though my glasses were still on. Tears, that's what it was. Tears filled my eyes as I looked at my friends. Peter and Remus were awestruck, as well as Mary and Marlene. Lily got up and walked over to me, gave me chocolate, and had me sit down. I guess I was shaking pretty bad, she looked concerned.

I didn't know what to do. My best friend just told me he never wants to talk to me again. Fuck. I was still crying, I could feel the tears running down my face. Remus got up to find and calm down Sirius, Peter went to get me snacks from the kitchens, and the girls stayed to comfort me.

"It's gonna be okay James. He'll come around eventually." Mary reassured. I really wanted to take a walk around the castle, so I got up and walked towards the portrait hole.

"I'm gonna go for a walk." I stated, choking back tears. I left the common room and walked towards the astronomy tower, tears streaming down my cheeks. I enjoyed looking at the stars. When I got there though, there was already someone there.

"What do you want, Potter?" Regulus asked me. Then, when he noticed that I was crying, he got up and rushed over to me. "What's wrong? What happened? Come sit with me." He walked me to where he was sitting. I wiped my tears and began to explain.

"S-Sirius said.. he said he never wants to talk to me again.." I trailed off, leaving out the reason why. I looked at him, god he's so fucking perfect.

"Oh.. well what did you do to trigger this.. reaction?" He questioned while comforting me. Of course he asked me. I didn't know what to say. I had nothing to loose, so I told him the truth.

"I- I told him.. I told him that I like someone.." I paused, gathering courage. "I told him I like you, Reg." I said while looking at him. He hid his emotions well, as he just looked at me in return. Of course, at that moment, Mrs. Norris walked up to us.

"Oh shit!" I exclaimed, as I helped Reggie up. We managed to escape with ease, avoiding detention.

The next couple of days were unbearable. Sirius saw me and Regulus together on the map, so now he's double pissed. I was in Transfiguration class, completely zoned out. I felt so numb. Then I heard my name, and snapped out of my trance.

"Mr. Potter?" Professor McGonagall called on me. I looked up. completely confused. 

"Huh?" I responded, still dazed. 

"Detention, for not paying attention." She sighed. Great, one more thing on my plate. The rest of class was a blur, and before I knew it, class ended. I got up and walked to the library, luckily that was the last class of the day. When I entered the library, Sirius and Remus were there. I froze for a minute, Sirius looked at me. Remus had a panicked expression, as Sirius walked up to me.

"Hello Prongs." Hm, he called me Prongs. Good sign. "I'm sorry. I overreacted. I really don't care if you date my brother.." He paused. "You look terrible, by the way." He smiled, I laughed. I felt a wave of relief wash over me. 

"Well, I don't think Reg feels the same way, so no need to worry." I stated as I recalled the silence at the astronomy tower. He's avoided me ever since.

"I'm sorry man." Sirius said, sympathetically. Me, Padfoot, and Moony walked back to the common room. When we got there, the girls looked at us and smiled, seeing that me and Sirius made up.

"Where's Wormy at?" I asked them. They all shrugged, I took out the map and saw him in the potions classroom. 

"Ah, he has detention." Detention.. uh oh.

"SHIT. I have detention with McGonagall and I'm late. I gotta go." I handed the map to Remus and ran out of the room. As I was running, I passed Regulus who was reading and walking. He looked up from his book at me as I stopped running.

"Where are you going?" He asked me sternly.

"Detention with McGonagall.. that I'm late for." I answered through my panting. He smirked and waved a hand, motioning me to go on, and that I did. God, he is so fucking cute. I ran towards the Transfiguration classroom and was met with a very angry professor. Shit. I had to clean Flitwick's classroom after a glitter bomb Sirius placed. It sucked.
