Possible TW, light cussing!!

When I woke up from my sleep, I recalled the memories from last night. Our laughs, Regulus' smile, his face... no. Why did I keep doing this? I'm supposed to love Lily Evans. Regulus is my best friends brother! And, the most conflicting point, Regulus is a boy! This is just a phase, it has to be, right..? I mean, there's nothing wrong with it, I'm not homophobic or anything, considering Sirius and Remus, but was he..?

No time to think of this now, I have the whole day ahead of me. I checked the time. 8:30 AM, perfect.

I got out of bed and took a quick shower. I threw on a pair of blue jeans, but soon realized that I forgot to grab my shirt. Great. I opened the bathroom door and rushed out quickly, but I accidentally bumped into someone.

"Oh shit, sorry!" I apologized as I looked up to see Regulus standing there.

"I- Uh- S-sorry.." Reg stuttered, fidgeting with his hands.

"It's quite alright, you're up early. Well, earlier than your brother." I said with a smile. I turned my head and glanced down the hall towards the stairs, then back to Regulus, who was staring at my torso, his face bright pink. He quickly looked away and walked past me, into the bathroom, locking the door behind him.

I felt my face get hot. I walked briskly to my room, grabbed a shirt and put it on, then walked downstairs to have breakfast. Shortly after I sat down, Sirius and Regulus joined me at the table.

I flashed a gentle smile at Regulus, who returned with a blush and a quick look away. Odd. Maybe he's still shy about being in an unfamiliar house? Yeah, that's it. I ate my breakfast quickly, then me and Sirius set out for the garden. Mum and Dad put a charm around the house, shielding the vision of the Muggles nearby so we could fly around the backyard and practice Quidditch.

After what seemed like forever trying to get Reg to join us outside, he finally agreed. Of course, he brought a book. As me and Padfoot flew around, tossing a quaffle amongst ourselves in the process, I couldn't help but notice how Regulus looked when he was focused.

Eventually it got dark, so we headed back inside. We had dinner and got ready for bed, but as I walked past the guest room I heard extremely loud snoring. I gently knocked on the door and heard a voice respond with "come in", so that I did.

Regulus was silently reading in his bed, and Sirius was being very obnoxious. I would have casted a silencing charm or something on Sirius, but we were prohibited, considering I start my 6th year next month, and Reg his 5th.

"He's going to do this all. Night. Long." Regulus said in an annoyed tone, looking up from his book and closing it. Without thinking, I replied.

"Well, if you want I could wake him up and make him take a potion. My dad has some anti-snoring potions in the cupboard downstairs. Yes?"

"You'd do that for me, Potter?" Regulus replied, sounding astonished.

"Of course I would, I can't have you lacking sleep! I'd be a horrible host If I let this situation grow out of hand." I dramatically expressed. Reggie let out a sigh, which sounded like a laugh, and nodded for me to get the potion.

I grabbed the potion, awoke Padfoot and made him drink it, then he fell right back asleep. I smiled at Reg and set the half-empty potion bottle on the wardrobe.

"Thank you James, I really appreciate it."

"Of course! Come wake me if you need anything else. Goodnight!" I smirked and shut the door. I walked to my room and went to bed, excited for tomorrow.

-----Time skip to get stuff moving-----

Days passed, and finally it was time to go to school for the year. Yesterday, we went to Diagon Alley and got our necessary equipment. Now, everything was packed, and we were at Kings Cross Station.

Mum and Dad gave their goodbyes, then we went through platform 9 3/4. As we emerged, Sirius ran towards Moony and hugged him tightly. They've been together for about a year now. I waved at Remus and Peter, then looked at Regulus.

"Wanna sit with us? Our compartment is fun." I begged him. He shook his head no.

"Y'know, I have friends too. I'm gonna go to them, see you around I guess." And with that, He was gone. I approached my friends, and we boarded the Hogwarts Express, ready to take on yet another year at Hogwarts.

As we sat down in our compartment, we were catching each other up on our summers. Peter and his family went to France, and Remus had a boring summer with his Mum and Dad, which I felt bad about.

I had the window seat, which I was thankful for. I watched out the window as I tried to put together how to get over Regulus. I eventually came to the conclusion that if I told them I like boys, they would accept me. Of course they would. We are the Marauders, after all. Well, plus Lily, because she was sitting with us.

I waited for a proper moment to tell them, and after they finished discussing how the full moon went, It was quiet. Now's my chance.

"Er.. can I tell you guys something important?" They all immediately looked at me. I was getting very nervous.

"Yeah, what's up James?" Peter responded kindly.

"I- uh.." I hesitated, then went for it. "I think I like boys.." I looked around at my friends, they smiled at me and told me they were proud of me. I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders.
