I shiver as I walk through the portal

Who knew that one could get chills in the Nether

I shook my head to rid it of the ideas as I should be thinking of different ones

Like when will it be the right time to try and go back home

To see the damage caused by the moon

I huffed as I walked past portal after portal trying to get an idea of what to do now.

That is before I got to the portal for Boatem, "I wonder if Goose is okay," I muttered as I thought about the cat whose safety I trusted with Scar. My gaze soon landed on a lever on the other side of the portal barely visible. Curiosity got the best of me as I walked open and flicked the switch.

Instantly two doors open to show an arrangement of animals most of which were upside down while many of them were llamas.

That only pointed to one person in the continent that would have these animals

"Pearl," I sighed as I closed the doors before a llama could escape, "I am not going to be cooped up with your animals during this," I muttered as I returned to the path I was once on. "I wonder where all my friends went," I said to myself as the memories of all the time spent with them came to my mind instead of ideas as I started walking out of the hub

That was when I noticed the warm sensation in my gut, in confusion, I pulled out the amethyst cluster that has been calling me ever since I took it with me. Before it was a normal cluster of amethyst but now it seemed to let off a sort of glow that was similar to the ones I surrounded my last portal with.

"Are you going to lead me somewhere," I asked in a whisper as I got out my rockets and took off from the ledge I found myself on.

As I flew I watched the Nether change

No longer was it the Nether that my friends and I explored and gathered materials at

This was different Nether

With cobblestone bridges spanning across the lake of lava leading to separate portals one of which is located in the middle of the ocean of lava centered perfectly with a ruined portal.

I ended up flying past that portal and landing in front of one that had a patch of amethyst at its base

"I guess I'm going through this portal," I whispered to myself as I put the amethyst cluster away and got out my sword putting the rockets in the other hand. "Here goes nothing," I muttered before walking into the portal. Once on the other side, I gasped as I took a brief minute to look around before escaping the pillagers that were shooting at me from the base of the waterfall that was off to the side of the portal. This caused me to fly up to a tower that was being circled by three dragons who paid me no mind. "As strange as this is," I began as I looked around the area, seeing a theme of white, black, and brown buildings all topped with glittering amethyst roofs, "it seems familiar."

"Wizard Gem," a voice called out from behind me almost causing me to fall off the platform I landed on. "You have returned, where did you disappear to," the voice asked before I turned around.

"My apologies," I began, "you must have mistaken me for someone else by the same name and similar looks. Gem is my name but last I checked," I paused, "I am no wizard, merely a lost hermit."

"If you are not the wizard then who are you," the person before me asked, "and how did you get here?"

I sighed, at least I have patience and I have manners, that is what I'm going to need to figure out this place and find a way back home. "My name is GeminiTay," I began, "I come from a continent called Hermit Land. I went into the Nether as a means of escape as the moon was crashing into my world. Many of my friends had taken a similar means of travel for their escape. This crystal cluster," I paused as I showed him the amethyst cluster, "had led me to the portal that connected to here. Would you mind telling me where I am and what's going on? Also, could you fashion some warmer clothing for me since it is a little colder than the birch forest that I stayed in?"
