DOWN IN THE LAB, Donald was telling his bionic children about their next mission—while Kate and Leo bickered over who got to use his computer. They both tuned out the older man's blabbering, literally tackling each other to the floor just for the chance to mess with his files.
Donald gave them both an exaggerated look of disappointment, stepping over their bodies to sit at his desk.
"The scientists that operate the facility have already evacuated the control centre, and if we don't shut it down in time, it will create a massive black hole that will implode the entire planet." He explained, pressing buttons on his computer.
"That sounds kind of awesome." There was a slight chuckle in Kates tone, giving Adam a hard high five.
"Todays not gonna work." Leo shook his head, wide eyes staring at Kate to remind her of the special occasion that day.
"Oh!" She squealed, pointing at Leo. "Cupcakes!"
Equally as excited as the blonde, Leo jumped up and down. "So much sprinkles." He screeched.
Donald cringed at the sight before him, turning back to the important part of their conversation. "Don't worry, you guys will still get your cupcakes." He gave Kate a harsh smack on the shoulder, quickly apologising afterwards.
"Adam, Bree and Chase have all the training they need to shut the collider down." He further explained.
Kate and Leo looked at each other with those devious smirks they always wore whenever they had an idea— usually a stupid idea.
They both dramatically placed their hands on their hips, looking up at the ceiling to show off their 'super hero' pose. "I think these guys are gonna need some, back up!" They simultaneously sang the last part, giving Donald their best convincing smiles.
"Yeah." He nodded his head. "That's why you guys are gonna be, back up, here in the lab with me." He widely smiled at their disappointed frowns, watching as Kate kicked the air in frustration.
Out of nowhere, a bright orb like sphere circled above their heads. The all surged backwards in sudden fright, clinging on to each other for dear life. Donald jumped up into Kates arms, making her stumble back at the extra weight she had to hold up.
"Nobody panic! Probably just the cable guy." The older man tried to assure them, keeping his eyes squinted at the mystery man in his lab.
"I just came from seven years in the future. Your time machine actually worked! It's me, Leo!" He informed them, only getting unsure glares in response.
"Whoa! The cable guys got the same name as you!" Adam exclaimed excitedly, quickly glancing at Leo.
Leo stepped forward, eyeing up...himself? "If you're really me, then you'd know the handshake I came up with in case I ever became a spy."
"Leo, even I know that handshake. It's not a trustworthy technique." Kate said with a slight tone.
"Requesting authentication, double o Leo." Future Leo furrowed his eyebrows with a playful glint, ignoring Kates attitude.
