A/N before we start: PLEASE READ!
Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing well! This is my first time and my first story that I wrote on wattpad! I only joined wattpad months ago, so I really don't have followers and I don't really follow people and I don't know how to work this app much. I just read stories and write. This story is my first story, so it obviously isn't going to be perfect, but if you could please read this story and give my story a chance, that would be great and much appreciated! Hopefully, you will see differences on my writing and maybe when you get into the book more, my writing will improve more. Towards the beginning of the story, it's short, but towards the middle of the book, chapters are more longer.Enjoy my story, and kind opinions on my writing will be great and will help me with other future books I will write! 💕

PROLOGUE:
I always wondered what it was like to be loved. I don't think I've ever been loved before. I don't understand the feeling of love. I was starting to overthink again. I hated this feeling. The feeling of being hated or unloved. My family never paid attention to me. They never spent their time with me. They always spent their time with my sister. It was always her, no matter what. My parents never showed up to my concerts or plays, they never showed up to my soccer games, they never hugged me, they were never there when I needed them, and they never loved me. But, they never did this with my sister. They actually showed up to her games and her shows but they mostly loved her.
Before, my parents did show some love to me, but when my sister entered the picture, everything has changed. I guess sometimes you have to you have to accept the fact that certain things will never go back to the way it used to be.
I was sitting at a bench at the park next to a lake. This was my secret spot. I come here whenever I feel down or I need to breathe. I was watching the swans. They were swimming elegantly, tranquilly, and beautifully.
Swans are majestic, beautiful creatures..
I wonder what it is like to be a swan. They are free, they don't go through difficulties in life. Unlike me, they are loved.
My sister, Amara, is a swan. But me.. I'm the ugly duckling.
I sighed, as I got up. I really needed a breather but now... I need coffee. I was exhausted and worn out from today.
I walked to the closet coffee shop. I walked in and sat at a table. I have never been here, it was a really small but cute cafe. I then saw a waiter approach me.
"Hello.. what can I get for you?" the male asked. I looked up and there was a handsome guy. He had dark black hair, with gorgeous blue eyes. And that smile... he has a bright smile. This feeling is unfamiliar to me... why am I thinking like this?
I shyly smiled and said, "Hi.. um.. Whats the best drink here? Well.. in your opinion.." my mood for coffee suddenly went away. He nodded, looking down at his notebook. I was staring at him, never looking away from his indigo eyes. He looked up at me and smiled.
"Well in my opinion, I think the chai latte is the best" he said jogging down something on his notebook.
"Okay I'll get that.." I said smiling. He then just stood there and I started to get a little nervous.
"Are.. you alright?" I asked concernly. He finally replied, "Yeah.. sorry.. your eyes are beautiful" he said to me and I felt the heat rising to my cheeks.
My eyes..? No they are not! My eyes are a very dark brown. I had French roast hair, and freckles spreading on my cheeks like wildfire. What does he see in me? He looks like he's got all the girls. I don't blame them... I was stunned by his beauty.
"Thank you.." I said breaking eye contact. He nodded in response.
"I'll go make your order" he said walking off, leaving me stunned. He was the first person to ever compliment my eyes.
It has been 8 minutes and I saw him approaching me. "Here's your drink" he said gently putting down my drink on the table.
"Thank you.." I said grabbing my wallet out of my purse.
"How much will this be?" I asked looking through my wallet.
He shook his head then said, "You don't need to worry about.. it's on me" he said smiling. My eyes widened as I looked up at him.
"N-no really I can pay!" I said and he shook his head again pushing away the money. I sighed in defeat and grabbed the money.
I still see him standing there and I raised an eye brow. He noticed my staring. "I want to see you try it.. I need to know your opinion on this drink.." he said not looking away. I grabbed the cup, bringing it closer to me, and I took a sip. My eyes lit up. He chuckled at my facial expression.
"Shit.. this is good.." I said taking another sip. He chuckled again.
"Is it the best drink?" He said crossing his arms.
"Yes it is! I'm gonna get this more often now.." I said taking another sip and never looking away from his eyes.
"Good to hear.." he said. We made eye contact for about 15 seconds and then he broke the eye contact. "I'm Noah.." he introduced himself.
I nodded, then I also introduced myself, "I'm Aria!" I said with a grin.
"Aria.. such a gorgeous name for a gorgeous girl.." Noah said and I blushed. I probably look like a tomato right now.
Noah sat down next to me. We talked for a bit, then I
saw the time and I had to go. We bid our goodbyes and then I left the coffee shop. I then saw something written on the cup. I lifted my cup up towards my face and it was his.. number! Oh my gosh. I smiled and walked home in a peaceful manner.Little did I know, after walking out of that coffee shop, it changed my life.
