Now: 6 years later
I heard a loud, irritating sound. It woke me up. I slapped my hand on the alarm. I yawned and got up. I slid on my slippers as I sleepily walked to the kitchen.

I lived in a nice small apartment. It is pretty small, but it is cozy. I made it as cozy as possible so it can feel like home.

My depression has gotten better, I am now trying to live the best life. I moved to Paris, and I am now starting a life here as a writer. Well.. it is going to be hard to achieve that dream, but I have hope. I work as a barista at a cafe at the moment.

I decided to move here to get away from everyone in Italy where I have lived before. I didn't just move here because of my family.. well I did.. but I also moved here after the break up with Noah. We just thought it was better if we just ended it. He said he wanted to live his life and start a new. He also told me that... he was in love with someone else. I respected his boundaries. What hurt me was that I didn't know what I did to him. I kept overthinking why he left me. Did I do something wrong? Is he tired of me? It left me heartbroken. I haven't seen him in a while since, and I don't want to see him.

While I was getting my apron on for work, I heard a knock on the door. I walked up to the door and I opened it. "Hey Leo.." I replied annoyed. Leo is a guy I accidentally hooked up with. I was drunk. After our little moment, he thinks we are dating and wont leave me alone. I know he feels something for me, but I don't feel any sparks.. ya know?

"Hello Amor.." Leo said walking up to me and planting a kiss on my lips. I pulled back immediately.

"Woahhh stop right there..." I said wiping my lips.

"What's the matter amor?" Leo asked confused. I sighed. I felt awful.. but I don't have feelings back. Don't get me wrong, he's a great guy but I don't love him back.

"Leo...we will talk later.. I have to get to work" I said grabbing my bag and I exited out the door. I heard him yell out my name but I just shrugged it off.

I ran down the streets off Paris, heading to the cafe. " Hé, fais attention fille!" (Hey, watch out girl!) a guy yelled out.

"Pardon!" (Sorry) I yelled out and kept on running down the street. I didn't need to take my car.. the cafe was right down my street.

I finally arrived at the cafe and I entered. I then saw my best friend, Olivia. I finally made a new friend. We met 3 years ago when I first started working here.

"Hey Liv!" I said cheerfully, hugging her.
"Hey Ari!" Olivia responded hugging me back as well.

"So what's up!? We haven't talked in a bit!" Olivia said letting go of the embrace.

"Olivia we haven't talk in 2 days.. it's not that long." I said laughing and she rolled her eyes.

"It's still long for me! I think it's long because we talk every day.." Olivia said laughing back.

"True, true" I replied.

"Anyways, how is it with Leo? He comes in to get some coffee some mornings and always asks about you" Olivia asked making coffee for a customer.

"Annoying... I mean he's a great guy don't get me wrong! But... I just don't have feelings for him back.." I said looking down.

My first love was Noah. He was the one I trusted. I thought I could never feel love, but I did with him. I felt sparks with him. I loved him but he left.

"Have you told him that you don't like him?" Olivia asked giving the coffee to the customer.

I shook my head and Olivia rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips.

"Love.. look, if you think he's annoying or that he keeps admitting his feelings for you then.. you need to tell him you don't feel the same.." Olivia said and I knew she was right.

"I want to move on.. I really do but.. I still love Noah but.. he moved on.." I said picking at my nails. Olivia put my hands down.

"Aria lo-" loud ringing then interrupted Olivia. I felt my pockets and felt vibrating.

"Sorry gotta take this.." I said and Olivia nodded. I headed to the break room and sat down.

"What's this number?" I asked as I picked up.

"Hello?" I asked with a concerned voice.

"Long time no see.." the anonymous voice said through the phone.
