Jade's POV

I didn't think that he would move on that fast. Is it true that our relationship means nothing to him? I guess so, he's been spending his time with that bitch. When she told me that i meant nothing to him, and that he's over me. To say that it hurts, yes it hurts, but it's more than hurt.

Honestly, the more i thought about it, the more i realized that i have to move on too. I don't need a boy to forget him, I'll just study really hard and ignore his presence. Yeah i guess that'll do.

-a week later-

I've been ignoring him since that incident. He tried to call me, talked to me, stopped me in the hallway, but there's no use, i really did pretend that he's not there. As if he's invicible or something. And since yesterday he stopped trying, that's good i guess.

I sighed and got to the next class.

The teacher has been talking about the presentation we'll have, it's due next week. And we'll have a partner, and the teacher had already arranged our partners.

Turns out that I have a partner named Chris Collins. He's in one of our basketball team. He's tall, of course, towering my small figure, I'm 5'2 and he's about 6'1. Yeah I'm that short.

He came to my desk, place his hands on it and looked at my face. I looked up at him and smiled.
"So, um when do you think we'll be working on this project?" I asked him.

He lowered his head and said "its up to you, I don't really mind when it is." He said looking intensely into my eyes.
"Um okay, how about after school today?" I asked, the faster the better right?
"Yeah i think i can make it, where?" He asked
"How about starbucks?" I asked
"Fine with me-" he said but the bell cut him off.

He smiled at me then said "see you later jade!"
Then he went out of the class.

*****************************

I'm currently waiting for chris to come to the starbucks. I'm sitting on the booth in the corner of the room, looking outside through the window.

5 minutes later chris came in then sat in front of me.

"You don't wanna order?" I asked him

"No." He said simply with a comforting smile.

With that we started working on our project, we small talked a bit, about favorite colors and stuff, stupid i know. And after that stupid conversation, we talked like we've been bestfriends since ever.

I'm making the presentation right now, and chris is still sitting in front of me with a bored face.

"Jaaaaadddee I'm bored." He said dragging my name.

"Well, what can i do? I can't entertain you right now chris, I'm making our presentation." I said with a goofy smile at him.

"Ugh you're no fun..." He said, then he smiled mischievously at me. Uh-oh,, i guess it's not that good. I gave him a questioning look, but he just kept smiling like an idiot.

"Seriously chris, isn't your face hurt or something? You've been smiling quite long now." I said like he was some sort of creeper or something.

"Let's just leave our project for tomorrow." He said then packed my laptop and dragged me out of starbucks, and then brought me to his car.

He opened the door for me and i got in. Well, nice car i guess..

"Where are we going chris?" I asked him after he sat on the driver's seat.
"It's for me to know and for you to find out." He said, with that he started the car and drived.

We fell into an awkward silence until he cleared his throat and asked me.

"You're jake's ex right?" He asked

With that i stiffened and then relaxed after a couple of seconds.

"What a random question Mr.Collins" i said to him with a smirk.

"Well, you could say that." He said while glancing at me.

"Eyes on the road mister.... Yeah I'm his ex." I said awkwardly.

"Oh" thats all he said. And now is soo awkward than ever.

Then we arrived at this diner.

He opened the door for me then i muttered a small thankyou, after that we sat on a booth for two.

He ordered a sandwich with a coke and i ordered a milkshake.

"You don't wanna eat? the food's great here." He asked.

"I'm not hungry, i just ate a cake at starbucks." I said

"Okay, just don't drool over my food." He said while wiggling his eyebrows.

I can't help it, i laugh at how funny he looked.

"I won't chris, trust me." I said , with that the waiter brought us our orders.

When he put my milkshake in front of me, he put a scrap of paper too, then he winked at me. I looked at him with a blank look then at the paper. And then i realized that it's his number. I just laugh at it.

He's pretty handsome i guess, blonde, with green eyes, tall, and a bit muscled.

But i won't text nor even call him though, I'm not that type of girl that when some random guy just gave her his number, she will definitely call him, especially when he was handsome. No. I have never done that before.

"That guy just gave you his number." Chris said while laughing.

"So what? Who can resist this face?" i said while pointing at my face with a smirk, then i laughed along with him.

"So why did you bring me here again?" I asked while he was eating his sandwich.

"Well like i said, i was bored, just watching you typing and stuff." He said while shrugging.

"It's not my fault though, you didn't want to make it, and now I'm thinking why were you even there when you did absolutely nothing." I said while glaring at him.

"To keep you entertained of course." He said

"Yeah sure." I said while rolling my eyes. But it's true though, I haven't laugh ever since me and jake broke up, well he's the first person in the world that made me laugh after my breakup.

After he's done, we got to the cashier to pay but he insisted on paying my drink also, we argue a lil bit but since I don't want other people to wait for us so i just let him pay for me.

I said to him that i need to be home, so he drove me home, i told him my adress, and then i thanked him for driving me.

He's nice.

When i got home i just went straight to my room and took a shower. After that i had a dinner, alone.

My parents are always out, working. We rarely meet each other. Our house is pretty big. They always give me stuff. Like new phone or something. But i only see them in the morning while they haven't gone to work yet. I used to be so close with them, until my brother died because of an accident. He was 18 and i was 14 that moment. Well he was drunk with his friends and, you know what happened. So yeah since then me and my parents haven't talk that much. I can hear them get into the house sometimes, i just choose not to get out of my room.

After dinner i went to sleep.
