"Malfunction"

The Precinct.
Captain Bruce Willis, Carlo Reed and Michelle Shaw were chatting again about a possible case for them to do.

Reed & Shaw were tossing the tennis ball back & forth to each other again. Reed was sitting across from Bruce by his desk as Shaw was laying on the couch.

Bruce-''So, you two wanna take the case?''

Reed-''Hell yeah, B. *tosses the ball to Shaw* It would be fun to go to Texas.''

Shaw-''*Catches the ball* Reed just wants to go to a Hoedown!''

They laughed!

Reed-''You know you love to watch me dance, Mick.''

They chuckled.

Shaw-''Yeah, I just love watching your sweet dance moves.''

Reed-''I know you love looking at my butt when I dance.''

They all burst out laughing.

Shaw-''Oh, Lord. You are too much, Reed.''

Reed-''Never too much for you, Mick.''

Bruce noticed the two smile at each other for a moment before shaking their trance off once again like they did before.

Shaw-''Well....''

Shaw tossed the ball to Reed and he caught it.

Shaw-''I guess we should-''

Shaw's phone started ringing and she pulled it out of her jeans pocket as Reed took a drag of his cigarette.

Shaw-''Oohh, excuse me. It's my Dad.''

Shaw stood up as she answered the phone.

Shaw-''Hi, Dad!''

Shaw left the office. Reed watched her leave as he blew out the smoke.

Bruce-''Carlo?''

Reed-''*Looks at Bruce* Yeah?''

Bruce-''What's going on between you & Mick?''

Reed-''Whatcha talkin' about?''

Reed tossed the ball to Bruce and he caught it.

Bruce-''Don't lie to me, Detective Reed. Something has been going on between you & Mick ever since Italy.''

Bruce tossed the ball to Reed and he caught it as he sighed.

Reed-''Alright, B.''

Reed leaned forward and rested his forearms on the desk. Reed held onto the tennis ball in his right hand and held his cigarette in his left hand.

Reed-''You remember when we called you to join us in Europe?''

Bruce-''Yeah. You two had to end the call because someone was coming.''

Reed nodded.

Bruce-''Then you told me on our next call that you & Mick covered it up. But you used the words "covered it up too well".''

Reed-''Yeah.''

Bruce-''What did you mean by that?''

Reed-''We had a very intimate moment.''

Bruce-''Ok. But haven't you two had to kiss and whatever while undercover because you played as a married couple?''

Reed-''Yeah, but *takes a drag of his cigarette* this time was different, B. We never had to take it that far before.''

Bruce-''Oh...I get it.''

Bruce looked at Reed trying to read his facial expression.

Reed-''We looked into each other's eyes and for the first time....I felt something I've never felt before and Mick felt it too. I could see it in her eyes, B.''
