She jogged breathlessly through the forest terrain, jumping over any old logs in her way, brushing past the ferns and other plants that seemed to endlessly surround her, her legs sped up, her heart raced faster, her breathing quickened as well. She turned a corner, her heels digging into the earth as she spun her body around and kept balance, regaining focus and running off again as she turned. she kept running her body grew tired slowly, and as she did, her eyes lost focus for a second, and that second meant everything, she slipped, she tripped over a log, her head crashed against the soil, her raven hair tossing about, the footsteps behind her grew closer, she had lost.
She stood up as Master Gerald helped her get to her feet, "Lex, you're too tough on yourself" he said sighing, "I'm fine" she said in response, her Blue eyes looking at the soil on which she stood. Master Gerald rolled his eyes and smiled, "cmon then young lady" he said, turning her around and started walking with her to the starting line.
Lex was turning 18 in one year meaning that when she did, she would gain her formal duty as an officer in astrology warfare. She herself was an Aquarius, taking up residence on the planet AS09, along with Master Gerald and all other Aquarians in the universe. Lex had been raised by Master Gerald as her parents had fallen in battle when she was much younger.
Her parents are somewhat of a mystery to her, memories fading as the days go by. Back then she had dark auburn hair, however overtime her hair suddenly changed, no one knows why, but now it sits on her shoulders as dark raven blue hair. She wore a dark black tank top and grey running leggings at this moment, and she had a nose ring in which Master Gerald didn't completely agree with. Turns out there are multiple things that Master Gerald didn't completely agree with when it came to Lex. She certainly wasn't the best behaved teenager. Alas Master Gerald continued looking after her, for he loved her as his own.
Once the two reached the starting line, one of the security guards handed Lex a bottle of water. She took it nodding appreciatively and drank the whole bottle within seconds.
"Time to go back to train, yes?" Lex looked at Master Gerald. Shrugging, he sighed "Yet again Lex you're pushing yourself too hard, but I can't stop you now can I?" he chuckled. Lex smiled, "I'm glad you're starting to understand this fact". She responded sarcastically, hoisting herself up on the horse stationed a few feet away, stroking his mane softly, she whispered "lets go" and with that he galloped her away, Master Gerald following behind on his Horse.
Once they reached the base, a large oval shaped building coloured blue and silver, they got off the horses and let the guards take them away. Lex whispered a soft thank-you to the horse who carried her, as did Master Gerald. Most of the Aquarians' held their animals in high regard and punishment for mistreatment was severe.
"Alright Lex, are you sure you still wanna train?" Master Gerald passed her a pair of boxing gloves as they entered the training room. "Certain." She was born ready.
"Soft punches Lex, you don't want to break your hand" Master Gerald chuckled.
"I'm fine," Lex replied breathlessly, grimacing at the slight pain. She was fired up now, punches growing faster and stronger. Master Gerald stepped in quickly, "That's enough!" He demanded as he forced her arms down, she shrugged as she unwrapped her gloves, revealing marks abraded skin. Knuckles torn and bloody, "okay that's it you're done." Said Master Gerald sternly, grabbing a wipe and cleaning her wounds. As if in reflex, Lex hissed and jolted her arm back "I told you, I'm fine!" She repeated sweat dripping down her face. "Feisty today are we?" Master Gerald shook his head in worry as he dismissed her.
Lex did her best not to wince from the pain as she jogged out. She was not fine, no matter how many times she denied it. Lex had grown up training, It's all she had been doing her entire life, and she felt that no matter how much she pushed herself. She would never be as good as she wanted to be, she had only ever been on one mission and it wasn't even archived. She was at one point on Planet Aries. That day traumatised her and she hoped to never return to that cold planet.
