Chapter 6 awaking

The strange man was laying on the couch slowly awaking, I need answers. Why did he come for Lara? Why did he almost kill me? I got lost in thought when I felt someone tap my leg. He was awake.

"Tell me why you tried to kidnap Lara, can't you sick bastards leave her alone!" I was getting frustrated and aggressive all at once. He looked at me in fear.

"I am sorry about what happened to the girl but it is my job! I am assuming you have had one and your goal is to make the boss happy, right?" I nodded, wondering were this was going. "that's what I'm doing sweet heart, my boss wants what he wants and if his workers don't get what he wants, we wouldn't here the end of it." He sounded worried, he is taught to do this for a living.

"What does your boss do with the people?" I was terrified to ask knowing what I would hear would sicken me.

"He would send us out to kidnap people, mostly females, and do whatever he desires. From rape, to torture, to making them force down a sig. I have tried to quit but doing so enrages him to the point he would kill, and the people he would kill would be people like Lara." I was correct, his words did sicken me.

"What is your name, I could help you, as odd as it sounds."

"The names Jylil." ( ju-lil ) his eyes filled with happiness.

"Mines Flora, but before we get any farther, I must find Jason and Lara. You could come if you like, I just need time to think of a plain." he nodded and we left for the woods in the cold, stormy night.

Lara was starting to awaken under the tree I had her rest upon. the leaves were a red-yellow color falling from the trees gracefully, yet slowly. I lay next to her, calm but worried. I should not have left Flora behind.

"What an ignorant fool, give me the girl, now." I jumped up and turned around to see Vincent.

"Oh my god, Vincent! Why would you do this to poor indent girls?" He struck my face with his fist so hard I nearly passed out. I was paralyzed, stuck seeing him pick up Lara.

"You thought you could leave so soon? Ha, I have people in my hands since they were born to this day yet I only had you for a month!" He took one second to stare me down, in that time frame, a figure appeared. I couldn't make out what it was.

"But her down," Who said that? With that Lara was set down and Vincent was face to face with the the person.

"Good, now leave my presence!" Instead of listening, he went to punch the person yet he was to slow. It grabbed his fist with it's hand. Vincent's face soon got a worried look. Slowly, vines started to wrap around Vincent's legs, he did not notice. He collapsed, trying to fight the vines. Suddenly, he vanished. I could move once more but my memory of the battle fatted until I could only thing remember was me getting up. Everything went dark.

I put Lara on the couch and Jason on the recliner. I had to clear their memories of my powers. I just didn't know I could do that! I learned about them quite recently actually. Jylil was looking at the ground siting on a bar stool by the counter connecting the living room to the kitchen. I rubbed small circles in his back, hopefully comforting him.

"So, I have a plain."
